He might need to bulk a bit. Get him sitting next to blocker at dinner and it will sort itself out.

Has the makings of a very good build. Give him a couple of off-seasons to go with the typical expected growth he'll go through, he'll easily play around the mid 90kg mark IMO.

I think I read some where seve had cancer in 2012 . to be able to come back 1 year later and play as well as he has he must be some thing special good luck to him

Wow….he is a lot bigger than I thought....

He looked skinny as on tv......

Apologies....that kid looks big enough to me.

I was about to post something saying along the lines that he's bigger than our entire NYC backline for this year, but LaT posted a picture which more than does him justice. He'd already be in the mid 80s. Within a couple of years he'll probably be in the high 90's.

A good size, but his speed, leg drive and skill combine to make him the players he is. You can't just rely on size from NSW cup level onwards but in schoolboys and nyc you can.

To have a body like that after going through cancer not long ago is a great triumph. That is from an amateur environment too. Put him in a professional off season over the summer and he could fill out big time.

His height will be the issue if anything , not his weight He has a great frame to put size on , but it helps to play centre in this day and age if you have some height about you

I get what your saying and most centers now are, but there is 2 sides to that coin, we have a player like a Konrad hurrel, who uses his strength, or a Simona, who uses his speed.

Neither are very tall.

Yep and totally agree that its not a hindrance in attack , the lack of height is a hindrance in defence and Simona does have some defensive deficiencies as does Hurrell

I would doubt they (Marion or Ben) would be 6ft 1 in if lucky

His brother Ben is a handy player also , and old school mate of mine who is the Ipswich Jets colts coach is a big fan of Ben as well

What wrong with 6'1???Thats plenty tall for a back.

Most centres would be 190+ cm Simon and if you can't tie a player up ball and all as a centre in this day and age you will struggle defensively

We really need WT to make bios for our next gen of youngsters.! Something to entertain us for the off season!!

Seve always looked much taller and more built than the other backs, and some forwards, in the schoolboys comp. But then they could all be short-average. I would have guessed Seve was around 6'2 - somewhere in the mid-high 180cms.

Again I compare him to Justin Hodges. Similar build and style. Hodges might be slightly taller but Seve could still grow a little more.

Happy, if you've met them or have friends who have then I'd take your word from it. The rest of us can only go off a few games on tv from pretty shoddy camerawork!

Bring his brother down too I say. NSW cup maybe. They're very close and could help each other settle down in Sydney and alleviate any possible homesickness concerns.

Mate who is Jets Colts gave me his opinion as he has had something to do with Ben and then when I looked at the photo in the Qld Times (Ipswich newspaper) they are both the same height basically but Marion seems more powerfully built

You can make your own minds up if you look at this photo and then my mates opinion

Manly's centres are Lyon and Matai…..regarded as one of the better defensive combos going round.

Both are well shorter than Seve.

Sorry happy, but gotta disagree here. 185 is perfectly fine for any back line position. You can get worried when you're 168cm like Utai is! But Nofo and Teddy are both 180cm so seve would have a good 2 inches on em and they are fine under the high ball. Similarly, Lawrence was obviously amazing centre and he is 187cm.

Matai is 182 and Lyon doesn't even break 180!

All were or are great centres.

I'm 179 and Lyon is taller than me

Lyon is 182cm actually.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Lyon

got the info from here.

But the point stands, centres don't have to be giants to be good and seve is not a short guy in any case.
