This boy has been signed for 20s next season. Watching him play yawn yawn for last couple of years this boy will play 1st grade next year or the year after. A real talent who i will tag 'the next Sonny Bill Williams'. He would be 193cm and at least 110 kg and can run the 100 in mid/low 11 seconds.

What position does he play? If he can cover 100m in mid 11's at that size then he'd prove a real handful out wide.

Keliti Vaingalo used his large frame to burst through three defenders to give the Roosters a comfortable 30-0 lead by half-time.

The Next Sonny Bill Williams? Every club has had 2 or 3 of them come into grade in the last 5 years. None of them even came close.

Any kid who is 110kg and can that fast must have some sort of future ahead of him. Cant wait to see him play.

I'm not doubting the kid at all, but every 3 months we hear that some guy is Sonny Bill without the injuries, and very few of them deliver. There is much more to being a league superstar than having a huge frame and pace. I hope the kid becomes a star for us, but I wouldn't be giving him such a massive wrap yet.

He's been given yellow cards in schoolboy union for just astronomically massive shoulder charges…

He must be big. This pic was captioned on a little athletics website. "Keliti Vaingalo winning U/12s 60m hurdles". 12 years old??!! He's enormous next to those kids.

Teenager Keliti Vaingalo expects to begin his new life this afternoon as a free boarder at one of Sydney's most expensive private schools.

Like most 13-year-old boys, Keliti will undoubtedly have bouts of homesickness over the coming months.

But the shy rising sports star will be forced to deal with any homesickness without the support from his closest family members, who were deported on Saturday.

Almost two decades after Mafi and Hiki Vaingalo arrived in Australia on tourist visas, the Department of Immigration ordered them to return to Tonga, along with their two youngest daughters, Manu, 7, and Lupe, 6.

The Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs Minister, Peter McGauran, has refused to intervene in their case.

Only Keliti, a promising athlete and rugby union player who is already on scholarship at Newington College, and his 14-year-old sister, Na'a, are allowed to stay.

All four children were born in Australia after their parents met and married here.

After a tearful farewell at Sydney airport on Saturday, Na'a travelled to Canberra to stay with relatives. It is understood Keliti spent yesterday with family friends.

Newington's principal, David Scott, said last night that he was unsure where the teenager was, but confirmed the school would pick up the tab for his board and education, costing more than $32,000 a year.

"He is a very good student, well behaved, and he gets on well with his peers," Mr Scott said. "He's a leader amongst his group and he works hard."

After little more than a year at the school, the former Coogee Public School student has already proved his worth on the sports field as a champion footballer and athlete.

Excelling in hurdles, the high jump and shotput, Keliti has several state and national records under his belt.

The family's immigration lawyer, Anne O'Donoghue said the only hope for Mr and Mrs Vaingalo was to apply for contributing parenting visas, which would cost more than $70,000.

Ms O'Donoghue said she planned to meet Mr Scott to discuss ways for Newington College to sponsor the parents.

Mr Scott said he would be prepared to look at the process.

This is the kid who weighs in at 110kg and 193cm tall, now playing in the tigers juniors.

I know Keleti - great young man, bright and very funny…would put Beau Ryan and his antics to shame at times with his one liners at high school.
An absolute gun rugby and athletics star...make no mistake, he IS the REAL DEAL!!
Mr Trodden deserves a medal for getting him to sign with us...he has been hot property for a couple of years now and the fact that we have him is outstanding news!!
