Not much said, but have a listen from 3:30 seconds on the audio.

I am leaning towards this guy as my preferred coach. I think his experience at Brisbane and Melbourne would bring a lot to the Tigers.

Thoughts?

The media will love Kevie as a head coach Bit of Matt Elliott about him in that sense

Typical Ipswich guy , you can take us out of Ipswich , but you can't take Ipswich out of us

Did Walters come right out of left field or what?
He definitely does not deny it in that interview.

Anyway, I'd be very happy with him. We need a bit of that QLD grit (and I am a NSWelshman).
As a player he was certainly crafty and an underrated asset, much like Hasler come to think of it…..

well thats about as clear as anything the papers have been saying. Ill put my money on walters but I fear they may not announce him as head until after the GF because he is assistant to storm. Which would be terrible for the forum. Ergh i can't wait till the dust settles!

Agree siro, seems like a hasler esque style coach which is not a bad thing.

I didnt even think of Kevy… IMO he would be great, he has been around the coaching ranks for years and the clubs he has been involved with are nothing but professional. Hopefully some of that will rub off on us if he comes.

interesting thing from the interview was Kevin's response to roles & responsibilities.

He looks after the attack but CB main focus is on defence.

I would have no issue with walters as coach

Or
Steve Folks
Nathan Brown
Jason Taylor

No one else is up to scratch IMO

X2 fully agree with the order you have them in too.

Sounds like there's a bit more to come after grand final day. Given the way he spoke I wouldn't be too surprised if we wound up with Kevin. The thing I wonder about with a rookie coach like a Walters or a Parish is who they would put on their coaching staff?

Agree totally but Humphreys has decided to grow the boys club by picking the bloke her played reserves with for balmain in 1987.Parish.

i wouldn't mind him either. All the speculation will speed up , when Sheens is officially gone.
Life is never dull supporting the Tigers… The off season will go quick i'm thinking.

I think Kevvie would make a decent coach. Of all the other names thrown around, I would only see Folkes as another option.

Nathan Brown will not cut it in Australia in my opinion.

Yeah wouldn't mind seeing this happen. Hopefully they don't delay too long and something gets sorted after the grand final
