How many of those other years did we buy the caliber of players we bought this year - yeah, we’ve been better…

But isn’t that what spending 1.4 on a half is supposed to do?
With him, may, Turuva and Royce - are we that much better?
We’ve got a long way to go - we’ll start playing real sides soon…

So you’re telling me we haven’t even played our best footy yet & still we have 3 wins on the board with a strong chance of making it 4 next week? now i’m even more keen for the season.

We are better...how you gauge better is up for interpretation

How much better did you expect us to be after 6 weeks?

I'll take better over worse, its a long season...lucky we havent played a real side yet ay

We bombed three tries in the 2nd half
.I posted in live game thread just before half time possesion was our way more than 60% and metreage was similar...I said I wanted us to score the first try 2nd half because I was worried possesion would swing
 
year 2000 you could tell who would win via who was on the bench - year 2020 you could tell who would win via enthusiasm in the first 3 sets . This year is a mish mash probably because i dont care anymore,the game has been 4 to long a drama and its wearing thin
 
In my opinion our Kicking game still needs to be developed as does our new spine. It will take time but is heading in the right direction.

I would like to see Doueihi kicking the Bombs and longer kicks as he has a good boot on him ( goal kicking aside the past two games) and Jerome has a good inside 20 kicking game whereas Galvin has been kicking them too hard. That said we compete for the bombs or at least defend them with a straight line.

I drove up to watch all three grades and to leave with three wins made the drive worthwhile

Proud of the effort and direction the team is heading and I know it will get better as it a little clunky with glimpses of class whereas in the past I thought we played too much as individuals and failed, we look a united bunch that are starting to gel and are working for each other.

Easter Monday hoping we go 4-3 with a big shot to the for and against. These games will show if we have the killer instinct needed.

The variation is Api into the corner on the last! Some might say that's a lack of confidence in Galvin's choices!
 
Speaking of kicking games, why doesn't anyone ever try and kick 20/40s? When it's 4th tackle and you're trapped in the 20 after working it off your goalline its worth a shot.

Easier kick than a 40/20 since you don't have the risk of going dead and teams aren't switched onto it the way they are with the 40/20. Feels like an opportunity being missed.

kicking is promoted in this game as a quick easy advantage to the point if it backfires its not a drama. Why each n every 1 of our payers cant do it is a waste of talent. 2hrs a day during practice for the little darlings is not hard
