Kicking Game

My God our kicking game (or lack thereof) frustrates me sometimes. The amount of times the pressure is taken off because of a poor fifth tackle kick drives me nuts.

And don't get me started on the goal kicking, too… I love benji, but geez, now he's hitting the posts from directly in front :frowning:

our kicking game is one of our weakest areas… we tend not to find the grass too many times on the long kicks. when we are attacking in the oppositions 20 the kicks are often fruitless. we look more dangerous running the ball on the 5th...

The kicking game is probably the worst aspect of the Tigers game at the moment. I never feel like the team puts in a threatening kick at all during the game. Benji and Robbie's kicking yesterday was once again poor and failed to yield results.

Off subject ..Iv'e watched the under 20,s on tele the last 2 games and Florimo has the best kicking game i,ve seen from anybody for a long time….he obviously won't play top grade but I was going to post this anyway.He sure has the ball on a string a pleasure to watch.In regards to the top grade kicking in general it reflects the standard of coaching .

Agree 100% I find myself screaming to run the ball on the last - a better option than the kick 9 times outta 10.

robbie farah is kick happy! it would be alright if his kicks had some impact but at the momemt his and our kicking game is impotent. but we have time to fix this yet - thats the good news - i hope.

Farah = kicks grubbers which end up going out or too long
Benji = can't find touch and can't kick goals

we don't have any hope unless they fix their habits or pass the duties to others

Cost us the game yesterday,our forwards worked so hard yesterday to build a platform and the 5th tackle option undid all the hard work,I think we found space twice all day and one was from liam fulton.

And then in attack we let the roosters off so many times with poor pop kicks they were easly caught on the full,how many times did we kick on the 4th in there 20.These guys are not even thinking repeat sets,look how many trys teams like the roosters score off bombs but yet we will attempt one all day generally from the 40 meter line.

Whats worse is this has been happening for four years now.Iam not worried about the attack yesterday,that will fall back into place but the kicking game needs to be sorted.
