Kids school reports

My TV is tuned into either FoxSports, the Comedy Channel or the History Channel keods. I miss things from time to time… :slight_smile:
Haha no I missed that, a few friends did post that on FB though.

Yeah well I'd like to thank the teachers for putting the effort in to do these reports. My child isn't one to tell me much about what's going on at school, and work commiitments mean I can't go into the class very often. So it's great to get a snapshot on how they are developing - it's eye opening too, the things I think she likes/tries in and the things she actually likes and tries in. Of courseI read the general comment the most but thanks for the rest too.
Mine go out on Monday - and thank God that is over till Term 4!

In my class, it's just what they get in their assessments. no Bell curve or anything like that, so for my littlies (I teach Yr 1), I have 18 kids, with no E's, 6 D's, 4 B's and 8 C's.

Everthing is moving along O.K. with C's, which means achieving where you should be for the grade you are in.

B's generally mean achieving beyond general grade expectations (probably one year beyond - so grade 4),so a bag full of B's is good.

yup, well said.. teaching imo is the most underrated "job" ever. tbh no offence to all the teachers out there but if it wasn't paid so low, i would be doing teaching. i love explaining things to my friends and personally, education is wealth imo. the more you educate someone about ANYTHING, it makes you feel a little prouder yourself.
im on a high atm after finishing my hsc last year.. some teachers though are absolutely ridiculous who have no sense of passion for the occupation.

I think what most people need to realise is that there are "bad" employees in every profession, so how would you like to be tarred with the brush of the worst employee in your line of work??? Ok, my little rant has finished now, so I will just sign off by also giving my thanks to those teachers that were "born to teach"!

I've got my room all decked out in WT stuff and I'm lucky that our local team is the Canowindra Tigers, so it's easy to sway them to the Wests Tigers! Also helps that they're only 6!

Mate im a teacher and those reports are a tid bit of what we see everyday with a student.
TBH the parents the care about the students educations are the ones that turn up to parent teacher or if they cant ring you to ask questions about there child.
Those reports are a starting discussion point for want of anpther way to say it.
