Kidwell To Be Coach Effective Immediately

Potter should be sacked tonight with Payto to take over for the rest of the year, with a view if he doesn't get results Anthony griffin or Neil henry to be brought in.

Today we were carved up on the right edge, he put a second rower into centre ala Tim Sheens. For me that's it im done with Potter and his selections.

These young kids are Payto's kids. he knows them well he knows what he can get out of them.. Lets face it Potter is on the green mile…

Wests Tigers were gone the minute a slow second rower (Thompson) was selected to play centre. It was an amateurish selection and I can't blame the Dragons for exploiting it throughout the match. To rub salt into the wound Wests Tigers centre (Wes Helega) in the Holden Cup showed a lot of skill, determinationand pace today and scored three tries. The other Holden Cup centre Hoerter also played well. Surely selecting a young centre with speed, skill and determination would be much better than selecting a tortoise second rower to play centre against a classy backline which Dragons had today. Therein lies one of Potter's major weaknesses.

Time that $$$$ = Say in the club. From day one this JV has been Balmain top heavy….though Western Suburbs and its treatment of juniors has also been deplorable.

Appointing an EX MANLY CEO is just UNFORGIVABLE !!!

CAMPBELLTOWN AND THE MACARTHUR Have been treated like 2nd class citizens ( and a few posts by the Latte sippers in this forum follow that same fascist line !! I bet they voted ABBOTT in !!)

As much as I DID admire Balmain and thought that they would be the ideal partner in a joint venture considering the flow of MAGPIE players to the TIGERS , especially in the early eighties.BUT and it's a big BUT .Why should Wests Ashfield keep the club afloat financially ?? No wonder Wests Campbelltown pulled out. These inner city knobjockeys don't have a clue.

BalmaNazi's....what do you lose ??? Arguably the VERY BEST junior nursery in AUSTRALIA....if not THE WORLD......your loss !!
\
\
Getting so very sick of this shit !! If They sack Potter.......Wests should dissolve the JV and bring on A FINANCIALLY VIABLE.......Macarthur Magpies !!!.......and a GOOD REASON to upgrade Campbelltown Stadium to a 30/40 k stadium in Australia's biggest growth region to boot.

Farah....go join Benji.......the bloke you pushed out of the club with your petty ego clashes !!

Balmains contribution to the joint venture ?? Akin to self mutilation.

Don't get me wrong. I have , until today , supported the Joint Venture, and hoped for a certain degree of a combined focused vision by both clubs.

NOW.....I say....Wests Ashfield...contact Wests Campbelltown.......put forward a submission to the NRL..........

One less colour on the jersey ?? The way management is going......the sooner the better !!

Sorry if I made you spit your Lattes with my comments........BUT........I have a legitimate reason to unleash my utter contempt !!

10,000 members ??? Not after this debacle !! Shame WT management SHAME.....Meyer hand in your resignation NOW !!

So far we have people insisting that Potter, Farah and Mayer leave the club. Anymore to add to the list? Benji and Sheens are currently laughing their heads off.

How can anyone say he is making mistakes when he has no better options

We have no depth in the centres

We have been decimated by injuries

We have no depth because we have no money and very few TPA's

Look at the Broncos , they lose Reed and bring in Copley for Christ sake and still have players like Kahu as other options

If we hadn't had injuries we could of brought in Moltzen or Lulia

Yep, the same old story.
No way Potter should be held accountable for the effects of injuries.
Can't imagine how much his arse must be hurtin with the refs and board nailing him as well!!

and lose half your fanbase…...........yeah that's smart

I'd rather have HALF THE FAN BASE….if it got rid of all this EGO CRAP so the club can move forward.

A: A successful club , with focus , vision , and HARMONY would achieve a: results on field , B: better sponsorship money C: A growing fan list from the positives from above !!!

BALMAIN have killed THIS CLUB.......A potential SUPERCLUB of the likes of the Broncos and Storm ( Read Man U, Liverpool FC , Glasgow Rangers etc ). The immature attitude of certain ( Balmain ) board members and a aligned players has been more of a setback than Shane Hayne's refereeing !!

The LAST TIME there was ANY degree of HARMONY was when Steve Noyce ( A Campbelltown Man ) was CEO.

BUT because of the BALMANAZI attitude , we lost a man that kept ALL PARTIES RELATIVITY TIGHT.

Balmain's gamble on mega profits from their ( now former )Rozelle base has effectively nobbled this club !! YET their flawed decision making seems to always prevail ??

Wake up to yourself !!

But again as in the Manly game Farah should of taken a stand and refused to play on until they checked the video on the kick off

Coming so soon after the Manly debacle , he would not of got fined by the NRL

I've said this in the past and I'll say it again if I was copping the wrong end of the pineapple with referee decisions I'd simple make sure that the mic picked it up that "if they screwed up another video ref call or don't use the video ref that the team walks"

Time’s up as Wests Tigers decide to axe coach Mick Potter and punt on David Kidwell

WESTS Tigers are expected to sack embattled coach Michael Potter after Sunday’s game against the Dragons — irrespective of the result.

The Sunday Telegraph understands Potter does not have the support at board level to retain his job or obtain an extension.

Despite solid results this season, the playing group is not supporting Potter, believing he struggles to communicate his ideas to the team.

The club has arranged for a special board meeting on Saturday to resolve the issue of Potter’s future, which has been uncertain for months.

It is understood the recommendation before the board is that Potter be dumped.

It is unsure whether his axing will be immediate or at the end of the season.

Wests Tigers head coach Mick Potter with his assistant coaches David Kidwell and Todd Payten.
His job is expected to go to one of his assistant coaches, Todd Payten or David Kidwell, with Kidwell the favourite.

Senior players did not throw their full support behind Potter — a fact that came to light in veteran coach Brian Smith’s internal review of the club conducted recently.

Smith’s report is believed to have contained statements from players and officials critical of Potter’s communication skills.

Privately, the board want the matter resolved before the possibility of Potter embarrassing the club by making the semi-finals.

Potter was appointed as the Tigers’ head coach after the sacking of veteran Tim Sheens at the end of 2012.

Sheens led the Tigers to the 2005 premiership in a famous victory but he, too, lost the support of key players at the club.

Ironically, Potter came within a whisker of being sacked at the end of last season.
\
\
But the club decided it could not afford to pay out two head coaches — Potter and Sheens — and he survived the axe.

The Tigers had a strong start to this season before hitting the wall, but then bounced back with a superb 46-18 thumping of the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium last Sunday.

If they beat the Dragons today, there is a good chance they will go on and make the finals after finishing 10th and 15th in the last two seasons.

The club has one of the best rosters in the NRL with NSW State of Origin representatives Robbie Farah and Aaron Woods backed by outstanding youngsters like Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses, Curtis Sironen, David Nofoaluma and Blake Austin.

Officials are keen to get a coach in place who can develop these rising stars and turn the Tigers into one of the NRL’s strongest clubs.

reveal your source or gtfo moronic little bastard

Humphreys…........ a JOKE, the ultimate wanker, destroyed a very promising season. .........O'Farrell ( possible board member WTF ?)....... corrupt politician who likes a good drop.....Triguboff ( MERITON ) .....that arsehole ripped me off for THOUSANDS of dollars, hope the ATO take that rotten bastard to task !!

Shit stinks....so does the Balmain side of the joint venture.

Want an INDEPENDANT Wests Tigers ???.........Remove BALMAIN and it's shonky corrupt ego inflated cronies......the club might just PERFORM the way we want !!

Dean Ritchie was probably right, the club peed its pants and reneged on the sacking tonight, doesn't mean it ain't happening.

So even if Ritchie was wrong, he still gets the benefit of being right?

What if he was wrong, and Potter wasn't sacked because….you know....he was never on the chopping block this week?

Even if there was a plan to sack him before he released the article, he grubjourno'd and jumped the gun and made himself look like a douche.

Respectfully , that's not the case I'm trying to pursue here.

The whole problem is that the BALMAIN side of the joint venture are basically self harmers.

Since it's inception Balmain has had the upper hand in the running of the club ( Ironically 2005 Magpie Juniors, CEO , club itself had its BEST year !! )

HUMPHREYS like his equally corrupt father…..COMPLETELY stuffed the club with his PRO BALMAIN attitude.

It's easy to explain.......if you are a flatmate of someone who CAN'T pay their bills......you are gunna be a little miffed if that slacker... ( and his own egotistical problems ) has the say on what colour the lounge room is painted. BALMAIN have run roughshod over the Magpies with this joint venture since Wayne Pierce was initial WT coach.

Ever since then, EVERY distabilising event in the club has come via someone ( official/player/sponsor ) from the Balmain side. Incluiding the Benji / Sheens / Farah drama.

Why should the people of Campbelltown have an EX MANLY Ceo (Balmain Sanctioned BTW )THREATEN them...when we are playing A: Out of town teams NOT big drawers B: Campbelltown Stadium crowd that night this MANLY CAT went on about was after a wild wet windy day.....( Campbelltown is usually a minimum of 5 degrees less than even Parra !! ) Game attendees claim the crowd was MUCH bigger than that posted ???

You Balmanazis need to take a good hard look at YOUR side. Their should be NO SIDES at all in this argument. It's been the Humphrey's ,Elias's, Roache's, Farah's of this club.....and their over inflated egos KILLING this ....what could be GREAT CLUB !!
