Willie Peters in as new u20s coach apparently - http://rugbyleagueweek.com.au/peters-set-sign-tigers/

WESTS Tigers are set to sign former South Sydney halfback Willie Peters as their Holden Cup coach for next season.

Peters, who has an impressive coaching record in Souths’ junior league, coaching the SG Ball team to the finals this season.
>
He will replace Brett Kimmorley, who parted company with the Tigers last week.
>
Peters is expected to bring several promising Souths youngsters with him to Concord to work under Jason Taylor at the Tigers.

Peters, a former Souths first grade halfback, has also worked for the Bunnies in marketing in recent years.

Seems to me we previously knocked back a big Willie but have now signed a little Willie.
On a serious note, the original article said they were going to appoint Paul Stringer - what happened there??

Stringer will replace Cameron as Taylor's assistant…..I think is the plan....

hmmm…. Is it Taylor employing another "yes man"? Someone who drinks at the Taylor trough? As opposed to someone who might be more assertive in offering their view of team, squad and club progress?

Perhaps Kimmorley was a bit more of the latter. Hence, no place for him.

But, if true, what are we left with? Taylor and his systems ad his preferred staff and players, including, of course, Rod Reddy, but not including Robbie Farah.

On any level of reality and accountability, Taylor is a massive failure. He is the Tony Abbott of NRL coaches.

Can't see our Board sitting on their hands until the end of next year if we again find ourselves bouncing along the bottom of the table with no realistic hope of playing finals football. Once that point is reached-and I hope it never is-Taylor had better start looking for a new job. Must say I'm amazed that Reddy and Kidwell still have jobs. Reddy's hiring I have never understood!

You can't have watched Kimmorley too closely this yr if you think he's assertive. This was just a bonus paycheck for him. He made no secret throughout the yr that he valued his media gig more than this one. Even going as far as to talk about our supposedly best junior as a great signing for other clubs.

What a pinheaded statement!

Are you old enough to vote? If so, then God help us all.

Was talking to somebody last night who told me Kimmorley and Taylor had a 'disagreement' over a certain number of things lol

Yes Col, Abbott was an unfair comparison as Taylor has not been a total failure.

Kimmorley is a dribbler.

Like other people has said, just says a lot of words without saying much in the media.

Plus he was taking shots at the club in the media, from his position I believe it was a sackable offence.

Good riddance.

He's gone and will be quickly forgotten

He is Winston Churchill compared to Rudd and Gillard.

Let's get back on the subject shall we?
