Payten's demeanor on 360 was strange. Just felt there was a lot more to that story.

I thought so too, it was very odd

Odd? Really? He's lined up elsewhere and has let the club know. He won't be leaving to be an assistant elsewhere when he has a head coaches role offered to him. And it's pretty much understood that when an assistant gets an offer elsewhere the club doesn't stand in the way. I know he's technically a head coach at the moment, but he's interim by default.

He said the Cowboys have not contacted him or met him, he just put an expression of interest in the job, he had a strange look on his face the whole interview.

Could be another club. Cleary only met Dave O'Neill for a coffee and accidentally wound up Panthers coach for 5 years.

Payten looked evasive..maybe dishonest.Ive no idea why he agreed to go on NRL 360 if he cld only tell half the story...?

So anyone else think issac moses is all over this? Payten turned down the job and Blake Green leaves immediately all on the same day...after sacking kearney.

DEFINITELY He's Adam O'Brien's manager also

So the Warriors are borrowing players from other clubs because they are short of FG players one week and then release their playmaker Blake Green the next week - can someone explain why that is ok.

I was thinking the same. Surely not. Seems somewhat inconsistent

What letting Warrior players go to other clubs when they are struggling to have enough players to compete? Makes no sense to me.

Playing the same team twice for 2 different clubs in 2 weeks, has that ever happened before? ?

Short memories! Moses Mbye did it when he joined us, played Titans two weeks running. Lost both matches too.

Technically Tui Lolohea did it, playing St George for Warriors then Dragons again for his next game at Tigers. However they weren't consecutive rounds.

Poasa Faamausili also did it just this year, on loan to Warriors his final match was against Melbourne, his recall to Roosters saw him facing the Storm again the following week.

I read today that with Green joining the Knights Issac Moses now has 8 clients there including the coach. Sheesh.

Nathan Brown apparently taking on the Warriors job?

I don't know who to feel sorry for. They didn't even want to interview Toovey.

I can't believe no one wants to give Toovs a go. If Madge ever leaves here, he would be the first coach I'd reach out to.
