Team List
Disappointing start to the season. The lack of trials would have played a part in the lack of cohesion, but still should have been better and got the win. The Mounties team list didn't have too many names that were of a high standard.
 
Dillon was terrible today, drop balls, lethargic, didn’t seem interested at all, Ihe needs a massive rocket, and laid out to him in no uncertain terms, he’s not alone, mikaeli seen enough of him, get rid of him, absolutely no penetration with the ball against a bunch of nobodies, mr toa we know your strong but how about trying at this level to beat someone with footwork and tip it on to your winger. Madden is ordinary, never doubt his effort he tries so hard but you wouldn’t want to be in the backs playing outside of him. There’s a reason nobody has given Dias a go at nrl level, he’s very ordinary and lateral movement disgusting. Simpkin the 13 at least he looks to offload, but what is it with us slow forwards. Pauga is ordinary too, what is it with this guy, his manager must be friends with someone on the coaching staff.

Yep we need to just move on from the plodders. No point having players like Pauga, Kei, freebairn out there.

But still make no mistake, we have a lot of players missing from both NSW cup and Flegg this weekend for whatever reason

Thanks for all that mate, i hoping that the new coach is not part of this unexpected poor showing? but Lambkin and Gardiner were very impressive last season, by the way is Ben Stevanovic injured ? Why is he not on the team list?

Yep Dillon got hooked hopefully they realise he's RMC standard at best. Just because he has speed doesn't mean he can play footy. I still think big Tom has something to offer but like I've said many times before, players under Maguire go backwards!!

I've seen him play quite a few times and nothing's changed. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result just like Maguire 🤷‍♂️

Mounties moved the ball in the middle third and changed angles all game. The y got a fair few 50/50’s but we were ordinary. The fullback needs the responsibility , someone has to get to dillon midweek and really put it to him about stepping up every week and the importance of his performance and what that does for the team. Madden plays his own game, as I said he tries hard but the wrong decisions he makes in a game is massive. Rua is rua, he’s a tough nugget, tries hard, but had little impact with the ball today. Realistically Look at the forward pack in reserves today, Dias and mikaeli soft, freebairn never gunna play first grade, Stapleton is hopeless, Simpkin understands the value of second phase but is terribly slow. Only guy ready atm for a call up is Stafford toa, and from what I’ve seen wing only, doesn’t look to pass and I haven’t seen any genuine footwork but is strong and reliable.
