KOE NSW Cup Team List: Round 2 v Knights

Back in ya box clown…
What difference is another reserve grade game going to make to then not having played first grade this year?
I honestly can’t be bothered explaining why Madden and To'a should’ve been played but the fact that we need runs on the board somewhere… Star would be a good guy to call up off the back of some dominant state cup performances/for grudge matches against Newcastle (but as we’re still keen to remain passive and ponderous in terms of a business strategy; kudos Pas[siv]coe) - nah let’s put him on ice for a bit? Can you not see the bigger issue with this approach?

I don’t need you to explain the way you think to me… so thanks for not.

No one wants their players to play 2 games in 4 days - no matter how you justify it.
You want them to play ressies (and get smashed) tonight - recover tomorrow - train Wednesday (only session) captains run Thursday - play firsts on Friday?
Good thinking skip.

Like I said - back in your box…

I hope you realise who our coach is champ. He literally selects players despite them being injured, last weekend is a good example and its been well documented before from other players.

Didnt get there last night, but got a report from the game, quick summary, this is what i was told,

1. knights back rower pushed off pauga at least 4 times.
2. Stapleton is an out and out cat. Lambkin not a fan but is being forced to play him.
3.Rua is injured and feeling very fatigued, first NRL presesason maybe starting to catch up with him a bit.
4.Middles way to soft, no penetration and 90% off the time can not win the tackle in defence.
5. Dillon ok, few half breaks, need to talk more, no glaring mistakes. under the pump a lot in defence at the back because our front line defence is non existant.
6. Stevanovic first run but turnstyle in the front line.
7. William Kei, same as another poster reported, likes to talk, doesnt have an impact.

It was put to me last night, that we have the weakest squad in the KOE CUP, and that we are looking at massive 50-60 point losses when we play the newtowns, parra's and penrith, after seeing us in round one, i agree with that asessment.

No, young players coming through will likely play reserve grade before going to first grade, doesnt mean they're at that level for the reason your implying.
Faagatu is killing it Mal Maninga Cup & getting a lot attention even though he is a year younger. He would be a chance to play Hostplus at Souths. I hope I get to see him play in a Tigers jersey he is special & will need to be locked in sooner rather than later.

It's interesting flegg and state cup did well last year and tanking this year.
Not really, if you look at Flegg I think we have lost the entire backline and some forwards from last year as they have aged up. They move into cup so will take awhile to get used to playing against men then add in the 5 or 6 long term injuries to firsts and thats almost half a team not running around in KOE Cup. It’s a rebuilding year…..again except for the entire club.

Possibly, But a bunch of our state cup players are playing first grade... If we ever get healthy it might be a bit different.

I’m not D’captain… but usually ressies aren’t on a Monday night + you clearly don’t understand the sports science behind needing to hit the ground running at such an elite level.

You honestly haven’t shown any football IQ in suggesting that "no-one wants our players to play 2 games in 4 days"… because that isn’t what I said but rather that it would need to be clearly planned and executed changes to promote continuity… you must work as a garbo or something! On your bike Krusty 🤡

We better be careful what we wish for if our NSW cup team is anything to go by. They are obviously not even ready for second division let alone first grade. I guess we are stuck with what we have for the moment
Nsw cup team were very ordinary ,although the penalty count against us did not allow us to get into the game. Newcastle were a bigger , stronger side than the woeful Magpie outfit

we're going to need to be patient with this KOE Cup side. a lot of players that are now playing against grown men and need to adjust. it's not about winning the comp or making the 8, it's about ensuring they adapt to the speed and physicality of playing in an open age group. hopefully we see them improve to the point where they're winning games come the end of this season.

I'm not here to fill your day in for you champ....
The garble you carry on with here doesn't interest me in the least.
By the look on your dogs face - Even he thinks you're an idiot.
