If he hadn't swung his legs around at the last part it would have been fine. Thats what made it a fairly classic hip dropSo no more cover tackling allowed?

It is what ended Tuiaki's career.Has there been many injuries from hip drops ?
It is what ended Tuiaki's career.
We've already seen a broken leg and and ACL this year as well as a few other lesser injuries. Achilles have been ruptured in the past.
No penalty that I can remember, definitely no suspension. It was just another tackle back then.Wow Tuiaki what a player .... Career gone I remember that tackle but was
It called a hip drop back then or another name I have only noticed the hip drop the last couple of years
From memory there was no name for the tackle and no penalty. It was just described as a fair tackle that ended badly. There was no malice or intent. Essentially all the same descriptions used by people trying to justify why players should not be suspended for hip drops now, except the tackle has been outlawed for 6 years.Wow Tuiaki what a player .... I wonder if in a decades time Craig, Cam and Bill will all be sitting at the pub reminiscing about all the different tackles they invented to maimed their fellow players. From memory there was no name for the tackle and no penalty. Yet nothing but a fine for Cretin's trip, I mean Chrichton.Well burton got off , given grade one , what a f****ing joke , he smashed staggs head into the ground and walks away , API was no where near as dangerous.
Also dogs prop got hit with a grade two for a little trip , a club needs to take these morons to court
Still think 2 weeks would have been fair.Comparing like to like, Nikorima got 2 weeks for a fairly innocuous hip drop tackle also. Api has been charged for 3 offences now within 8 weeks and has gotten away with just fines for 2. So I guess an extra week for that reason alone isn’t really that outrageous.
I haven't heard anything but I believe that would suggest we are not challenging. Intention to do so would have had to be submitted already and as such likely reported already. I also can't see what grounds they have to challenge.Any word on if we challenge it or not?
