Form

His kick returns have been Moltzenesque. Constantly gets caught out of position on kicks and surrenders at the line rather then trying to hit the hole.

Hope he kills it but doubt it

pretty sure Sheens would have shifted Fulton to 5/8 and Lawrence to full back.

My read on this is the club are aware of the extent of Tedescos injury so no use wasting time with a fill in. This is what reserve grade is all about there is a fullback waiting to step up whether he is a success is up to him …if not then another option will be sort.
This is a positive move by the Coach as the rest of the side is not affected other than 5/8',I always get a bit excited when a new face appears as watching if the player will take the opportunity handed to him and this week there are 2 ..good luck young fellas.

Given Teddy's frequent injuries plus contract speculation I have recently been wondering who is around to take his place…....have heard good reports re Rowe

Perhaps with the off season departure of certain assistant coaches Pottsy is a/ either allowed to call the shots or b/ the arrival of certain assistant coaches gives Pottsy a idea of what to do.
 
Well it only took 10 years. However a fullback for a fullback. A like for like change. Not 6 changes because of 1 injury. Who would have thought such logic would be applied at WT.

Give youth a chance, and not take wingers to fullbacks.

My problem with Rowe is that I inevitably compare him to Jake Mullaney given size yet that comparison doesnt favour Rowe.

Mullaney was a standout in the NYC and Rowe wasnt.

Mullaney was flawless under the highball, Rowe wasnt.

Now, Mullaney couldnt make first grade as his time at Parra ultimately proved. If Mullaney couldnt make it, then how can Rowe?

Hope Rowe proves me wrong and that his inferior NYC record doesnt mean he wont make a better fist of firsts than JM.

Haven't seen him many times lately as Wests Tigers don't get many NYC games on tv but as a schoolboy Rowe was all class. Selected as fullback for the Aussie schoolboy team and then the Junior Kiwi's last year. Has scored 38 tries in his 45 NYC games. He probably isn't quite ready for first grade but he was a highly rated junior who must have some skill to have done what he has so far.

A quote that has served me well through life may well apply here…

He may well have that big step up inside him, some people choke, others can chew and digest it. I cannot speak for the guys worth, but one thing is for sure, we owe him our support at the very least, at the very worst make our opinions of his capability at the level after 80 mins. If the guy can have a seamless game it will be unbelievable, so expect a bobble, a fumble at the very least, but lets hold the judge jury and execution until after the siren.
