Kurtis rowe

I cant read all the criticism.

He seems a nice decent kid who is struggling for confidence at the moment. Anasta and guys of that experience are fair game but he is still a boy and Wests Tigers fans shouldnt take out there petty frustrations on him.

Koro, Moses or Lulia to come into the squad next week, Rowe to go back and get some confidence and form.

Sorry mate, i dont think its all confidence.. Its Courage that he is not displaying

Curtis was a young lad when he made his debut, Brooks is another.
Brooks's defence was shocking game 1 this year, he bounced back and tackles more effectively than some.

-Koro has speed and takes the hit ups, his defence is really shocking so he wont be the answer.
-Luilia will come in for Simona or even Nofo is he is still not 100%

- I dont see Potter changing Fullback next game.

I think people on this forum should be dropped. Absolutely pathetic bagging a kid after 3 games.

Understatement of the year.

No need to add to the many disparaging comments on here. It's loud and clear.

Anasta and Rowe have to go.

Dont be that harse
Many on this forum could be kids too..

Sticking to the point, no one here said they dont like him because he is a kid.
People are displaying their frustration based on 3 un-improved performances.

Big difference Sirro Brooks Teddy and Noffa all have the pedigree. They earned their place by outstanding displays in the lower grades and at the time of making their NRL debuts were still eligible to play in 20's.

Kurtis Rowe at times struggled to hold onto the fullback spot in 20's and has not played well in NSW cup now that his 20's days are over. His form in NSW cup was described as shit yet he was promoted to NRL.

Won't be there next game. Pott's just go with your gut and stop listening to Payten.

No thats not exactly right, people are actually displaying their inability to handle their frustration.

Many of us are being more select and are instead displaying a consideration for the age of the kid in question.

It may be the interent but it doesnt mean we cant be human.

What do you suggest? With simona out. Nofa or patty to fullback or promote Abuo-Sleiman.

I think posts on here are going a little to far. He hasn't been great but i assure you he HASNT been our worst.

Benji has had worse games. People just don't understand the game enough to realize it.

Im seeing a lack of speed and nothing else. The worst defender ever to play first grade. Makes Lee Murphy look like Steve Matai.

He simply doesnt have it and no amount of time in State Cup is going to change that.

Confidence doesnt make you faster.

I'm not going to be critical. I thought he was okay today. He made more kick return metres today than I remember Moltzen ever making, tried to chime into the backline when on the attack, made a few tackle busts and was safe under the high ball despite them going to him a fair few times.

I think the issue is that we're comparing him to what we had at the start of the season and Tedesco is just next level good this year both in attack and defense. I don't think Rowe has really been any worse than Tedesco was last year. I think the time without Farah and Tedesco in this disjointed part of the year will give us more to work with down the stretch because the rest of the team are forced to work on their game without them. Having already got away with 2 from 3 since Tedesco went down and 1 and 1 since Farah I'm not worried at all. All we need is for Farah, Tedesco and Brooks to stay fit at the back end of the year and we'll do well. We have so much depth in the forwards now and those three alone will create enough points for us to win more than we lose.

Seriously Tedesco and Farah are our two best players full stop and we're surviving out there without them. Have you seen what happens to Melbourne without Slater and Smith, or the Bunnies without GI? Other teams coaches would be looking at us and wondering how we're managing to win without Farah and Tedesco. I think Potter is a genius.

Mac how about the

Tackles 0

Missed tackles 4

None were even on big forwards.

I appreciate he seems like a nice kid. But my cousin is a nice kid, doesnt make him a first grader.

I don't care about missed tackle stats that a rookie fullback accumulates. They all do it. Slater still has high missed tackle counts.

Whenever I see kurtis Rowe play It always reminds me of this scene from waterboy

I agree he doesn't lack courage, he puts his body on the line and can catch a footy.

Unfortunately I see a general lack of ability, and he knows he isn't up to scratch, so he doesn't back himself. When the game was done and dusted he actually put his head down a few times, looked 10x the player.

However I just don't think he has it. There is a killer instinct in the best footballers, that makes them dive on that loose ball, punish opposition for their mistakes, carry defenders over the line - this lad hasn't got it, sorry lad.

When you are whippet thin, you have to be prepared to run whippet fast in traffic.

And he must have missed at least 3-4 tackles in the single play leading up to Sezer's try, including a lamentable turnstyle effort on Sezer himself.

Positioning for the Bird grubber try already discussed. It's Bird for God's sake, not Carl Lewis.

It's been an uninspiring few weeks, we've given the kid a few weeks chance, I think we try to find another solution at the back.

I think Potter will toss up between Mitchell Moses and Abou-Sleiman.

Simona and Noffa don't have the footy brain to play fullback and Richards is not up to it as we have seen.

All fair and measured points, right down to noting how he plays differently when the pressure is out of the game. Im looking forward to the next team selection to see what comes of it.
