Pacman ,if I'm so much of a joke,then why don't you be man enough to introduce yourself at the get together,you don't know me or what I have done in life,but from behind the key board you call me a joke..that speaks volumes for the person you are,because I don't agree with you bagging a club legend….

Sure. Let me expand so you can understand where I'm coming from. Your opinion is flawed and is laughable at best (hence joke). You are a reflection of your opinion. Therefore, the conclusion was reached that you are a joke.

I'm still waiting for all these games Pat Richards has WON for wests tigers over his illustrious career in our colours !!

By your logic, Braith Anasta must also be a club legend!? His greatest days were also at another club. Comes here, plays terribly - we as fans have every right to bag him. Anasta also kicked a winning field goal for us once if memory recalls correctly.

I wasn't talking about Anasta..he wasn't anyone I would have purchased for the club….
You obviously don't remember the 05 grand final or some of the games previously that he got us wins with his boot...he has had a slump in his form this year but once again can you solely blame him for the teams performances all year,names that come to mind that have cost us are Brooks,Moses,Nagaima,Lovett,Santi Buchanan...however if you feel pride in defaming some one that has had a go at our club but has fallen on older years,then that's your prerogative.

Hey Pacman

I'd be really interested to know how you were feeling on this day

You talking about the lucky kick for Tedesco to score as Pat was too slow to do anything else so gave it a punt and hoped for the best? Where a player like Koroibete would have crashed over to score himself. Spare me.

Lovett, Santi, Buchanan, Galloway, Hoeter, Milone etc are also all part of the plodder brigade haven't you been reading any of my threads? Of course they have been abysmal as well. However, this specific thread wasn't about them. If was about Rowe's good form throughout the whole season. Richards has been abysmal throughout most of the season and in fairness to Rowe should be dropped on form. Make no mistake Richards is no club legend. Scores a try that was all Benji in the GF and having a few decent kicks during your 70 odd games at the club does not make you a club legend. Far from it.

Man, your comparison will make more sense if you said Bolt and Koroibete
Seriously ?

Patty = 33 years
Koro = 22 years old

See if Koro can run the same speed in 10 years

Have you been living under a rock? Fact is we got rid of Koro for Pat. Terrible, shocking decision.

Pacman I have no problem with Rowe having a start in our NRL team,remember a couple of years ago he had a chance in the side and everyone criticised him about not being good enough…I didn't,I thought he did well under the circumstances..my arguement is,you and others quickly dismiss a great team player and a person that gave his all for the WTs while he was here and a known club champion that you want to condemn because he is getting older and not up to NRL standard...don't forget he is leaving because he knows he is not up to NRL standard anymore..l

On the contrary i think you have been
Where is official proof stating Koro got punted because we signed Patty ?
I couldnt find any of your posts on Koro but i have a fair idea what you thought of koro when his defence was shot when he played for us.

I can go on a rant about Benji, Austin and other players that have moved on but the argument here today is you are totally discrediting Pat Richards and good he has done for us.

As i said before, if we were in the top 8 you wouldnt be making a blunt attack on Patty's performance.

Its not his fault most of the team is playing rubbish.
Yes his form is down and no denying it BUT

@Love the WestsTigers

Between the lines, Koro left as the club wouldn't give him first grade despite tremendous form in the NSW Cup. Melbourne pounced. The club wouldn't give him first grade as they preferred Richards. They picked the old man over the rising Fijian.

No I wasn't bagging Koro back then, don't assume. No I am not making a blunt attack on Richards, don't assume. I don't believe he deserves any sort of special treatment though and I'm saying he deserves to be dropped just as much as any other under performing player but specifically him for Rowe in this thread. I have made other threads and replied to other threads regarding other players who don't deserve to be in the team such as Lovett, Milone, Hoeter, Buchanan.

I hope this clears things up for you.

Yeah, after watching Seve in 20s last night, he has been ok but has a way to go and hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire in the lower grades so I'm waiting on him, see if he turns good in the next 12 months or so, despite this I think we've used our 2nd tier salary cap so couldn't play him if we wanted to. .

I watched the whole 80mins on NYC last night. Seves issue is that Mapestone is purely a running half and never gives him any ball. He was completely wasted last night, I barely saw him touch it. Put Martin inside him and it would be completely different.

Was he playing left or right ?

Seve was playing on the right he rarely gets any good ball or if any ball, they should put him on the left centre or at least have a half that can pass or make plays to the right side.

So if he's a left centre now playing on the right they must be thinking something like this for next year.

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma (right)
3\. Seve (right)
4\. Simona (left)
5\. Naiqama (left)

rowe was very scrutinised last year for no reason imo.

i really like him as a player, tries very hard, is quick and smart too.

LOL he was scrutinized because he was beyond terrible. I was actually happy when we signed junior burger so we'd never see Rowe again.

I think hoeter has been unfairly judged as a player due to playing in the centers. He played one game on the wing in first grade and was very good. That's his position. If JT does the right thing and drops Richards Hoeter deserves a crack at his spot.

I will honestly say I haven't watched Rowe this year in reggies more than once.

Based on what he has done in firsts, I would not play him again unless I was desperate, because he just doesn't have what it takes. Blokes like Rowe, Meaney and Moltzen in my opinion are not going to lift a struggling club, they are battlers.

Changing subjects, players re-invent themselves all the time. Rowe was always quick but of course he needed to increase his size for the NRL. I haven't seen him play lately but I always believed he was an NRL capable player. We must remember Simona spent a couple of years in the wilderness in NSW Cup but blossomed into our best centre. Perhaps Rowe will be the same because I don't think there is any lack of heart or ability on his part. Any kid who plays Aust Schoolboys and Jnr Kiwis must have talent.

This is what kills me over that kick. Its been obvious for the past 2 seasons that Pat isn't a first grade quality winger. The couple of times that he came through with something doesn't mean anything and a quality winger would have probably done it a lot lot easier.

This is exactly what happened. All we had to do was pick the players on form. Koro is 1000 times the player that Richards was. He was killing them in State cup and he kills them in first grade. Richards would struggle in State cup.

I would keep Richards in first grade because in 05 he was great for us. He was a big strong winger with some pace and we won the comp. This season is gone anyway.

I agree with replacing Richards. His heart hasn't been in it since he found out he won't be re-signed. His Been SHOCKING since. Any other top club would have dropped him but again we continue to be the nice guys and continue to pick guys despite poor form. I get we don't have depth and salary cap issues. But surely we can replace a winger to make an example and set a standard of not accepting poor form.
\
\
As for Rowe I agree too but he was playing full back was he not? Which means he may not be in mind for a winger spot. All though he has played wing man in the past.

Don't forget Pat Richards goal kicking ability, although I must say that has been off the past few games. I think he may be keen to desert the sinking ship….however I think he should stay in the team for the remainder of the season. Rowe is off contract at the end of 2015.

I think Rowe is off contract and I wouldn't be rushing to re-sign him.

Exactly.
There's at least a dozen fullbacks and wingers in NSW Cup that are much better than him.

This is all true but was just food for thought regarding someone to replace the old man for the remainder of the season.
