The Tigers continue to have salary cap problems - and Lovett is one of the players they are looking at moving on if they can find someone to sign him.

So Lovett is apparently a "fiery" backrower?!

Never seen even a hint of aggro or fieryness from him on the field thus far, maybe he was on the wacky chalk that day?

The Lurker, what a joke, he should change his moniker to The Floater as all he does is provide toilet fodder that bloke.

I suppose it's going to be Lovett that gave him the shiner too now…. or better still, put the "alledged" drugs that he pleaded guilty over into his reg grundies... please.

Just out of interest, who is Lovett's manager? Oh…. Sam Ayoub... what a strange coincidence. Can we just acknowledge that the man is scum?

Just cut Lovett and be done with it. Rather he goes than simona.

It seems so obvious. There must be something I'm missing.

Dont worry the "brains trust" at the club will realise that after Simona goes but they wont admit it.

And we live in a rather lenient society…

yes I have made mistakes and had to where the fall out from it. drugs is the worst of the lot, I have never taken anything nor have I ever smoked drugs or fags. but its not that iam taking the high road here, I think it is wrong on so many fronts that drug use is blown under carpet with a six week or 12 week ban. if they want to have the game as a model for the kids coming next then u make a statement or u let them run wild.

I think that's where we differ. For me, drugs shouldn't be bundled together. Some aren't 'the worst of the lot' . Some are horrendous and some are not so bad. Marijuana I believe is actually better than alcohol or cannibis for society, it even is starting to show some health benefits. Cocaine is middle of the road. Ice is the worst.

Now, while its wrong, I think when you are talking role model status, youve got a bunch of guys in the game who have beaten their wives. Including some very notable names. Drugs are usually only self inflicted, but when you hurt someone else, like a Robert lui, it's far, far worse in my books.

But really, Kyle was wrong. Especially being to scared to report it to the club. Is it worth kicking him out, ruining a young guys life and throwing the club into turmoil? I don't think so. Is it worth him getting a harsh punishment and a final warning? Most definitely. Cut his pay, put him on suspension and send him around to every school for the first half of the year on an anti drugs campaign for the NRL. Far more effective than the boot.

You nailed it hammertime .

It's funny some have admitted that if it was a Teddy or a Moses caught with coke that a Sackable offence shouldn't apply to them but yes to Lovett….so the Law apply to some but not others yeah whatever :unamused: .

But thats what its like in the real world - you front court as a politicians son or some privileged poonce and you will walk away with a slap on the wrist and a tch tch tch. You front up on the same charges as a Centrelink recipient from Mt Druitt or an unemployed indigenous person from Redfern and you get a conviction and possible gaol sentence. Those who are perceived to be higher up in society will always fair better.

Tigers make a call on Kyle Lovett's future

Tigers junior Kyle Lovett has been thrown a lifeline by the club and will only be suspended for the first two weeks of the 2017 season.

The Tigers back-rower was caught in possession of cocaine in December and recently fronted court where he was given a six-month good behaviour bond, escaping with no conviction.

The 23-year-old's contract will not be torn up and Lovett could be back in NRL action a lot earlier than expected.

Lovett is expected to be hit with a heavy fine at a club disciplinary hearing.

If this is the case the DH's are still running the club …the culture has NOT changed very disappointing!

Wests Tigers are a disgrace for supporting the activity Lovett was caught pursuing. Anyway Mr. Pascoe thanks for changing the Wests Tigers' culture by heaps. I am waiting for your next improvements in the club's culture.
