Kyle Lovett Re-signs official

I think the fact that so many are desperate to see Ava re-signed says as much about where we are on the ladder as anything else. He's alright, but he isn't a world beater. If people are this stressed over Ava, i can't imagine what they'll be like next yr when Taupau weighs up his future.

I'm happy about this, we need the depth in the second row, especially if Lawrence moves on at the end of the season. Yes he has some deficiencies, but it is only his first year in the NRL. He also showed signs of immense promise at times this season and I, for one, believe he will develop into really good player in the future.

Good luck to him earning some more coin, he has room for improvement. A lot of room for improvement lol.

As for it being a good signing well lets so how we go with Ava, if it ends up the club decided Lovett was more worthy of our limited salary cap than Ava well im going to have a hard time with that.

Who is incharge of recruitment and handing the contracts out at WT

I think i being a Keyboard Warrior might have a shot at getting a contract too..

This is really poor..
Unless he agreed to $50k a season i'm really not pleased with this news

No wonder he is stoked, getting paid a FG contract for doing bugger all on field..

The young bloke has achieved a personal goal, good luck to him should be able to concentrate on developing his game now.

I am not sure how it works, but I think you have to have 25 contracted players on a minimum contract value or more, my understanding is the minimum is around the 80 grand mark. So I would imagine Lovett is at the lower end of the scale and that would make him a good value signing, because you need these lower value signings to be able to pay the big bucks to the better players.

Fantastic work Taylor. Must be playing real close attention to the game. Lovett has missed more 1 on 1 tackles that lead to tries at very crucial times of the game than any player i have ever seen. It might be his 1st year in grade but hes been playing league since he was 7, and every player is taught to tackle. Wests tigers have lost the plot. Letting go of good players and resigning b graders. No wonder were at the bottom. No money in cap. I wonder why

As said earlier,Lovett missed tackles that led to 5 tries….Farah missed tackles that led to 4 tries...

you were saying.....something like "than any other player you have seen"....

Does that include the 3 where he was shoved out into the centres while Lawrence was playing 2nd row?

GEO gave us the stats in the other Lovett thread…I'm pretty sure GEO would be spot on ...
Putting him in the centres was a last resort I think and he DEFINATELY was over powered by experience..don't forget he is still a young player shoved in the deep end early...

Yeah, I approve of the signing. He's no champion, but does reasonably well for a budget player.

What I was trying to say is: if he had 5 missed tackles that lead to tries, but 3 of those were because of a poor decision by Taylor, the 2 remainders aren't bad.
