When Gordon was around they were saying that he should be the Panthers long term Fullback, NSW fullback etc. Lachlan Coote doesn't look like he'll fit in. Should we go after him? Would be a great be a great signing and he showed that last year. Think he would be about 180-220k to land him but may be less because he might just want to play footy. Thoughts?

The panthers see him as a outstanding prospect and will probably move him into the halves. Also I think his asking price would be little higher, but agreed would be a great no1 for us

My only concern is his size. He has already spent a lot of time on the sideline.But a good prospect who wouldnt look out of place at Wests.

i love lachlan coote, he was the best player in his age group all the way through and was first to NRL from the age group, injuries have halted his progress, he is a superstar in the making, I believe his best position is fullback and would be ecstatic if we got him, no chance tho i believe.

I take it your wording of rly means really? If so what are you on about?

The bloke can be electric and once back to full fitness will be a huge benefit to whatever side he is in. If it is ours I would be over the moon.

Alot of people would disagree with you, particularly the Pamfers who locked him up to a 5 year deal.

I would waste a bit of time with this because we are in fact a side _without_ a recognised fullback next year.

Coote IS regarded as the number 1 at Penrith, and the other outstanding fullback they have at the club is not real happy about this, and has already spoken with Gould about his plans for next year.

like i said back when we signed matty bell, and it appeared heighno and beau were on the way to Penrith, the Tigers were moving heaven and earth to try and get gordon to the tigers.

it might be worth a phone call to his manager and take a wests tigers jersey with the number 1 on the back of it to the meeting!!!!
