I see his future as a 13, whether he likes it or not. Latu is the real deal and should work well with Luai if it pans out. If Galvin doesn't like the 13 jersey then time to go.

Everyone knows who the fast guys are, they show it from day 1. I can't remember any slow guys who all of a sudden became one of the fast guys.

Sprint coaches must help to improve speed or why would they be used in the NRL probably can improve technique to squeeze everything out of the lemon remember a tiger's player Scott Gale man he was quick off the mark there were sprinters in his family probably helped with his speed RIP Scotty.

If Latu is the saviour then why we be talking about him in Galvin's thread? Can someone please rehash the Latu thread. We can talk there. Out of respect and recognition for Latu. I mean. He has that right right?

kid had a decent year, but was part of a team that won the spoon. His performance in the PMls game was ok but not a stand out.

I think he will need to rise another level this year without overplaying his hand (which he did a little last year), oppositions will work him and he will be more of a target.

Hope he and the team goes well, so he can see progress and hopefully commits longer term.

If not hope Latu is up for the challenge.

I think Galvin will rise further due to the opposition now having to contend with no just Galvin but Luai and Appi attacking along with a more solid front row with May and Hunt adding some real go forward , then you also have big Sam F running game and Bird who can also create , I can’t wait till we start 2025 campaign, Galvin will,shine

He doesn't need to get faster like 1 second over a hundred ......it's just getting quicker off the mark ......you would be amazed what a sprint coach can do with someone who hasn't been coached before

I remember Billy Slaters sprint coach used to talk about this. He mentioned that while some people like Billy are naturally fast, you can still improve speed if you’re coached properly.

It’s not as if everyone is going to be as fast as Billy Slater but you can still make gains in speed. Just like strength, it’s not static. You can improve.

Yes you can improve on how quickly you get to your top speed as well

Was obvious that Benji was the coach, Even from Sheens dialogue early on - He was always deflecting to the Plan of bringing Benji through (Even remember him saying, He'll be more than ready in 2 years - Even before)

Benji never had any issue with confidence, Also has a history of getting what he wants
- Especially when it comes to this club.
That might work on the park for 80 minutes when you're a once in a generation talent. Bit different when you're running a whole squad.

If it doesn't work, I can see him shrugging his shoulders and moving onto something else without too much concern, he's done exactly that here before.

At the very worst, he has a cushy media gig waiting for him. I’ve always maintained coaching isn’t something he ever thought about before the lunch with Sheens where the proposal was put to him.
