OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I can't see him being anything other than a poor man's Cliff Lyons. He doesn't have the pace off the mark to make a break, but he is quite good with the ball in hand. He does have a nice short pass and has reasonably good vision.
He will be a solid first grader, but not elite. Anyway - I don't really care all that much what happens to him to be honest.

What if he comes back to us..will you care then?

Loving the new rival/grudge experience (so far) with Galvin.

I hope it eventually plays out in one of those bizarre stats that he never gets a W over the Tigers (or never beats Tigers on our home grounds), not matter what team he is playing for.

Its been a real pleasure seeing Dogs fans blowing up deluxe over him.

I'm predicting that he will be playing in ESL during this 5 year contract due to the fact that he will refuse to bulk up and demand to play at 6 or 7 only.

He isn’t. I called it before he even played a game for them that they would fall in a heap at the backend of the year, regardless. They overachieved astronomically in the first half of 25. Here’s the funny part though. Optically, it does look he came in and tanked them because when he got there is about the same time the breaks were put on them. And because I hate him and what he did to the club, plus all the glazing Fox Sports did in that Kings Birthday game, I think it’s funny he’s been made the scapegoat.
I think you’re right . I will say this . What he has done is caused the fast forward button to be pushed on thier implosion . I think with the way the team was built , basically panthers lite , it would have eventually died a slow death unless they got thier juniors to populate most of the team . The issue is they basically imported most of thier top 30 , so when guys who have no deep loyalty to the colours are asked to make allowances , watch thier mates get thier marching orders , it causes huge strife . Even if. O one vocalises it .
It’s this point I think Richo was saying about have X amount of juniors populate your top 30. As they’re far more likely to make allowances for thier mate . Rather than see them as a guy getting in the way . How do I know this ? I’ve watched us do the same thing for most of our 26 years

Last night every time the ball went to Galvin on the last I breathed a sigh of relief. Almost all of his bombs dropped to our winger/fullback before their team could contest and unlike Burton he doesn't have the speed or power to dummy and run.

I've stopped disliking him much quicker than Moses because he doesn't worry me when we play them.

I think he stays at 5/8. He will develop his boot eventually when he's done 100,000 kicks or so. His strength is running fitness not wrestling fitness which is what you need in the middle. In fact I don't think he can make a head on 1-1 tackle at all. Look how many times Critta makes a mistake and goes in to protect Lachie instead of staying out.

He will eventually develop a long passing game (not the basketball passes) and a big boot, but he will never live up to this hype for sure.
