OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

He is 85kg and lanky as.
Sure, if we are dominant he could play lock. Were not dominant and it would gas our forwards covering for him. Galvin has to BEEF up to meet 5/8 standards.

Latu Fainu looks more solid. 90 kg's and looks like he would be tough to tackle. Lock would be a stretch for him though.

For both, not seeing lock as the option. Maybe Fainu to hooker.
Agree with all that. My post was in response to where they all will fit by say 2026.

This thread is crazy. Comparing Galvin to a risky different player in Fulton? Suggesting Galvin will play forwards. Suggesting Galvin and Fainu will both be starting the season in the halves. So much madness
Ha very true. Finally some players to be genuinely excited about, perhaps over excited, but better than where we have been.

He is a kid. Like cmon how many 18yrs you know are going oh I have a high paying job lets be responsible and be fully aware of expectations associated mixed with managers, media and legal things all swirling around whilst going to school.

A difference between expectations, being use to it & the impact of different levels of expectations have.

Just because his name is out and about (not him doing it) means squat re his salary and ability to manage the expectations.

Just let the kid be a kid and play footy creating his own legacy however it unfolds without all the pressure of fans expectations which will absolutely slaughter him if he doesn’t live up to the media/fan hype.
I just think you have to trust the process - it may not even happen this year.
There will be a level of expectation on him from our fans now which ever grade he is playing in. He is on everyone's radar. If he goes well people will talk him up and if plays poorly the same.I just don't think you can assume that all young people mature at the same rate and if he does
get a taste I expect it would only happen if the coach senior players and Lachlan himself thinks he is ready.
