IMO it's completely wrong that a General Manager of a club has such a platform in the game. Its a massive conflict of interest.
Last year Gould was talking about how hard it is for clubs to rise from the bottom of the table with players taking unders and big clubs picking them apart. This year he is publicly hoping Bula goes to a better club......The NRL should be putting pressure on Gould and Nine, he is either the Bulldogs GM or he is a social commentator, not both.

I don't think he's wrong, Halves are as rare as hens teeth, and Galvin is one of the best coming through.... Everyone loves him.
All my mates (Not Tigers fans) LOVE watching him play....

I am.
Firstly, it seems apparent that he is viewed as being a forward once he fills out.
Secondly, his only chance of being the highest paid ever is if he stays with us or defects to another pissant club like us.
Thirdly, yes he is tough, determined and highly involved. However he does not possess that bit extra that gets the big money. The razzle dazzle adds zeros.

I just remember when he was the only media bloke thinking we should keep Madge and we’re doing the wrong thing by punting him…he just didn’t want the tigers competing for ciraldo.

Canberra have a better all round forward pack leading the way in attack or defence which equates to better results. Making space for the backline to operate also comes in handy.
I expect better things to come next year, assuming the cleanout / replacement continues on the same trajectory.

The comparison to Fittler is madness. Fittler was a prodigy player- everyone knew him coming through the grades. He was destined to be great from an extremely early age.

Until this season, Galvin wasn't even supposed to be ahead of Latu Fainu.

I've said it before- Galvin reminds me of Wade Graham. Started very young (Graham debuted at 17 playing 5/8) & had a long career, was a bit bigger than your traditional half-5/8 & was eventually moved to lock, then to the second row & had a long, established career being a ball player & organiser anywhere on the field.

Galvin's speed has been talked about a lot, his body frame as well. It's not algebra- you can see he is tall & can carry additional weight. He's also not lightning across the ground. While it doesn't preclude him from success in the halves, it does add weight to the argument that he might be better suited, AT ANY CLUB, moving into the back row.

Best think about young Galvin is that he just loves game.
When he was interviewed the other day and one of the twerps on Fox asked him if he goes out after a win and he said that he'd rather go home and watch the other games.
Contrast that with old mate Luke Brooks who said he didn't even watch film when he's at Tigers training (which still boggles my mind).

Is he rough around the edges, yes, has he still got the body of a teenager, yes (because he is), but the confidence he has and presence of mind to make certain decisions in the heat of the moment is incredible for a bloke so young. And it's plainly obvious he understands the nuances of the game.

Luai coming next year will be amazing for him as the microscope will still be elsewhere allowing him to keep growing without constant scrutiny.

I have no doubt that he will be a very very good player for years to come and his game smarts will allow him to play for a very long time.
A positional switch will happen one day, there's no doubt, but he will be the 6 next year so lets just enjoy that for what it will be and hopefully, for his sake and ours we can finally win some games
