OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

watched him on ch9 this morning, what a well grounded, honest, easy going kid.hope that love from him of WT's is still shining bright in the future(contract renewal),seemed open to shifting position as he fill's out
Spoke well and was very "scripted" in his response to Joeys question "do you want to be a Tiger for life"...He also souned like he trusts his Manager Issac Moses very much...I still say he will probably go to the Roosters unless we make the 8 next year...You can bet your bottom dollar Politis and Robbo have their eye on this kids as would Gus....they are like vultures circling....

Seen him do a lot of community stuff in the tigers area as well, think if we can help him set up roots and sell the future vision filled with finals footy, but one where the community he’s grown up in is a much nicer area, with him tied into the community, he could stay with us. Think every kid would dream of that making something big for not only their family but their community

Thats how it felt. But don't forget what Luai will do to compliment Galvin. Teach this kid. The fat lady hasn't sung yet... Oops... can you still say that.
100% I truly think having Lachy and our other young guns amongst the likes of Api, Luai, Turuva and a few other older heads will bring out the best in them, theres plenty of work to be done, but I think we are on the right track.
Bring on 2025.

scripted responses for scripted questions, will see my contract out n then????,no point getting paranoid about him leaving until he does/nt.He did praise the set up n combination that storm have, mentioned them (Storm)many a time, also ,stated Blaize T will lift his level at Riff, also said Luia will lift his game,IMAO the kid is the ultimate competitor, and if he doesnt think he can do it here, thats our bad luck,n all the best 2 him.Iwill spend this financial years $ i saved on the roosters 4 the bottom 8.n pray like f

This worries me about Benji, do you really want training to be chill? Would training at the Storm be chill?

"Especially how chill he makes it and how fun he is. He tells me to go out there and enjoy myself and that I play this sport for fun. "
It worked for Galvin. He even has another level he can go to next season. Trust me bro. This guy is the next Benji. Who better to have teach him a certain ball-playing style than the man himself.

I just wish Benji had done a proper apprenticeship. I feel like he has the makings of a good coach, but he lacks in a lot of fundamentals he would learn by doing proper qualifications. He has to lean heavily on his assistants for this.

After watching the interview it gives me greater faith that Galvin will extend his contract, he seems happy at the club and wants to be part of the turn around. He stated that he wants to stay and if the Tigers improve next year and start to string together some strong wins it will happen sooner rather than later.

I see it the other way around....
He seems very definitive by continuously re-iterating
"We're here for 2 more years" Or
"I Have 2 more years left on my contract"
Mentions he wants to help turn the club around - But nothing about playing here outside his current contract.

If he's not extended by mid season next year, He's holding out to sign elsewhere for mine....
There's no way he plays out the next 2 years on the money he's on if he's looking to stay at the WT's long term.
If he was planning on sticking around - He gets an extension along with an immediate pay rise.

He's an incredible talent & very important to our future success.

He needs to be a priority upgrade/extension.

Totally Agree - I'll keep saying it, He's a 'Franchise' player....
His enthusiasm is infectious - Everyone (All fans) love watching him play.
He's going to get more out of the game than we could ever get for him...

I think he's waiting to see how the team goes next year, Even if he sticks around
- We'll be lucky to get an extra 2 years out of him with an extension.
The market could be anything with a couple more teams.

My biggest problem is,
I think the halves were a small part of our problems this year - Improving them as well as we have...
There's far too many glaring deficiencies elsewhere atm for us to improve dramatically.
- Not even considering the Players we've lost (Or may lose)

I watched the Jets yesterday - The speed they played at and the shape of some plays
would have been too much for us to digest I reckon.

Watching the Storm - If that's any sort of measuring stick....
The amount we're off the pace is almost immeasurable.

he can buy a big house in eastern suburbs and be set for life with investment opportunities....
Uncle Nic will be sure to have a red hot go at him

The kid and his manager holds all the Aces.
It sounds to me like he is saying “I’ll give the Wests Tigers 2 more years but then I’ll have to cash in”.
We won’t worry the top teams next year, but maybe in 26 we can rattle some cages.
We need his manager to resist signing elsewhere in November 25. The kid will have interest everywhere. That decision can wait until mid 26.
If I was him, I would be well aware that the club is in trouble. However with the coming players - one of whom is elite - that can be turned around. If Galvin, Bula, TDS and Fainu can all grow and work with Luai and Api….it can be achieved. It will take 4-5 years though. He needs to sign a 3 year deal with us to be sure. If we fail, he’ll still be young enough to attract major attention and become a multi million dollar player in a contender setup.

The glory hound in me would want to do that here. Lifting a piece of shit club to premiership victory with my mates would be worth far more than money and like I said, if it fails there’s still plenty of time to become a legend elsewhere. Hedge your bets son, it isn’t that big of a risk…..

I really dislike Benji's attitude - in life it makes sense and I get it, nothing is that serious blah blah, but in footy... not so much.

His whole career was about having fun with mates. Playing footy for fun.

Just hope this doesn't impact hard work.

He's a genuine star and his stocks are rising.
The kids are going to idolise him.
He's a must keep.

But yeah, we need to drastically improve across the squad. I think we're heading in the right direction but on paper we're still not there yet.
