OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

In the channel 9 segment with Joey and Fitler, Galvin said everyone keeps giving it to him at training that his future is in the backrow, he almost seemed resigned to it, just wants to delay it for as long as possible.

Galvin 11, Samuela 12. Thats some good attack in the backrow.

It also solves a problem.

I said this to you months ago and you got very upset 😉

Anyone remember a better defensive half especially at 18.

The closest for me was Lamb at 18 with the maggies.

Noticed at the back end this year Galvin wasn't even targeted much in defence by opposition coaches...........
..rare for any half especially a rookie.
He held his own when ran straight at. He was wasn’t good laterally and was rarely dominant/easily bumped off when in cover.
Certainly a part of his game that needs work.

Certainly not Wally Lewis.

Not a fast twitch player. Could use an extra yard of pace but still developing.

But really at 18.

Can't really think of too many better defensive halves.

And with Luai we will have two of the better defensive halves in the competition.

Geez we are getting carried away.

Andrew Johns was the best defensive half I have ever seen buy a long stretch. Would belt blokes. He debuted at the same age as Galvin. Much better defender than Galvin or Lamb.
John's was super, but I'm talking about at 18.

The King and the black pearl were the best defenders I've seen at 5/8.

Didn't see them at 18 though , saw Lamb however and he was belting blokes at 18.

Didn't say Galvin's allround game is anywhere near above.

Luai made 8 tackles last night, 4 missed tackles and 3 ineffective tackles.....
Sounds poor. Thought lots of players were off their game from the outset from both sides last night despite the tremendous intensity and commitment obviously.

How does Luai rank defensively for missed tackles as a half through year throughout the competition?

Don't have stat's but would think he is above average as a defender in his position.

Are you talking about Galvin?
If they counted arm grabbing or running a pilot vehicle for the attack - he’d have won the dally m
