Cant seen him going early...where does he play at Parra? He aint moving moses or brown...bench? Pointless
Same with the Dogs as above
Someone memtioned the Knights...their halves are a mess, hed have to move house tho...probably share with another player ...he probably only able to cook toast and 2 min noodles.

I haven't seen the term "transfer fee" used in the NRL unless buying players from Super League.

I assume that this is what it would mean: Let's say Galvin is on $300k with us for 2 years, we put a transfer fee of $1m on his head. That means the next club has to $1m inside the cap to acquire him.

This million dollars do not give us any extra money in our cap other than the $300k we freed up as far as I can tell.

Now, let's say Eels buy him for $1m for 2026, does that mean $2m come out of the Eels salary?

We aren't getting much benefit out of it, but the team that buys him is paying crap loads inside the cap.

Surely a player swap is a better deal for us?

Dogs did it fairly recently for Karl Oloapu for around 500k. Although "transfer fee" probably isnt the right term for it. More like compensation for the time and money invested.
 
I'm not a person who claims to have any sources and even with this Info don't take this as 100 percent happening but a mate of mine who was at the West tigers leagues clubs he said he saw Galvin and Galvin said that he is going to Parra so if this is true looks like a deal has been made from way before which we all suspected him talking to other clubs already so anyone who has any connections to the club can they report on this and make them have a further look into things if he does end up going to Parramatta

Yeh exactly. I'd say "buying" a player for $700k who gives us $700k of value and then re-selling him to someone else would be better than getting a million dollars we can't even use in our cap.

If Galvin is "worth" $1m to a team, we need to get $1m in players from them, even if it is 3 or 4 players.

Otherwise, having Galvin as a back up half in case Luai or Latu go down for the next year and a half is the better option.

He just cannot be our first choice 5/8.

Penrith actually did the same thing with I Katoa before he went to Dolphins. That has been conveniently forgotten by everyone. They went on record to publicly say we won't be picking him in first grade, or something to that extent.

We saw it clearly. Luai and Turuva are putting the punks in their place.

It's what needs to happen with Juniors who think they are king of the field without proving it. We remember how DCE was dropped from the Maroons because of his attitude. At least he had some kind of claim to the arrogance he was spurting in his early years.

Critta and Ciraldo would do it a stack harder at the dogs.

doesn’t make sense it takes away his bargaining options if he just blurts that out.
I have a feeling he hasn’t just played his last game for the Tigers last round I have a feeling he has played his last NRL game this season. Unless serious injuries arise both the Bulldogs and Eels are well equipped in the halves.
This would suit his development request and give him a bit of space out of the limelight. He’ll be 20 start of next preseason. He ain’t losing much by sitting out for the rest of the year but gains a lot by building his game away from the main game.

I can't see him playing first grade for us again if stays for the rest of this year unless Latu or Luai get injured cause I can't see us trying to doueihi in the halves again
