OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I said in a response to a fawning post from @tig_prmz about his belief in Gus's Gospel - that Gould always speaks with a forked tongue and is a pathological liar who leaves massive human collateral in his wake at EVERY club he has been a part of!

I will take it one step further - Gus is scared of actual success that he can't claim total ownership of!

He hasn't come close to being involved in an NRL Premiership winning team since sitting above Ricky at the Roosters in 2002 (then losing to Penrith & Bulldogs in 2003 & 2004)!

Gould brought in significant external funding to Penrith via James Packer & both Federal/NSW political pork-barreling through his connections - but they only started winning Premierships when he was shown the door!

His scatter gun recruitment approach to stockpiling then prematurely offloading young talent without investing in development has been his trademark!

(Just ask BMM - Sitaleki Akouala - Te Maire Martin etc who he recruited from the Tigers with big promises...) or Ivan & Griffin who were just chess pieces on Gus' checker-board!

And his "marquee" veteran signings like Civoniceva - Maloney - Merrin - Kite - Soward etc...

This Galvin subterfuge has completely derailed a Bulldogs team that was humming along & winning through self-belief and collective defensive effort - and was potentially set for a Cinderella run like the Tigers in 2005 or Penrith 2003!

Again - Gus has created his own excuse to set the club back to supposedly bring in the X-factor they need to win the trophy...

He's a self-serving douchebag!
I forgot about TMM. He really wanted to stay here as well . Another victim of the Moses game playing .
Honest to god if Moses was straight up at the time with his clients intentions , we could have run out a a spine of
Paps ,TMM , Brooks and eventually Farah when he came back .
LOL Arghhhh ! Gould and him , absolutely cut from the same cloth . A dirty , stinky cloth .

Ive been in mangement for decades. If an employee came to me stating they were leaving, I would usually try and change their mind and at the least we'd have a sit down so that I could understand what was the root cause was for his decision. By working on the contract proposal for weeks and then being blindsided by the decision, it doesnt appear this happened at all. Why would Benji be content to hand out a contract that size to a player who at best doesnt think he can help his game? It doesnt make sense. Also, the dossier of complaints was only unearthed at the negotiation meeting. I highly doub team Galvin would keep that secret if they were managing the issues behind closed doors.
Losing talent who take potshots at the club after they leave and during the exit process is terrible for building culture. How do you know it will be only the one player? Weve already seen negotiations rejected by several players in the past year. TDS is already raising eyebrows.
Look I get it, it's ugly... You want to avoid ugly and this stupid mess.

But NRL lives off drama. I feel a bit of this was deliberate to get Galvin's name repeated and talked up.

Overall again, we should not be dealing with Issac Moses.

to a player who at best doesnt think he can help his game?

You have one of the best NRL 5/8's who reinvented the role of 5/8 + Greg Ingles running around at the club. You have Luai who got 4 NRL grand final rings playing 5/8... If your a NRL 5/8 and you think there is nothing you can learn here, you have to have rocks in your head.

Moses poisoned Galvin against us. We should never deal with him again!

The whole saga surrounding Galvin has really affected the dynamic that was building in the squad. I will be happy to see him gone and honestly believe that he is an overhyped spoilt kid that didn’t deserve my support. He is not currently a $750k per year player and I’m glad he refused to consider our offer.
I think he paid a bunch of members to build hype on this forum.

The hype was real.
He came on the scene and looked a talent...

But the ego and entitlement didn't take long to show its self.

The guy posted pictures of him holding the logo on the jersey like it meant something to him... he's an actor and a fraud.

I could see him going on to become an absolute superstar of the game but I can also see him fumbling the ball and becoming another Brodie Croft. No doubt he has the talent but does he have the heart to succeed ? We will see.

Man , this kid has some toxicity attached to him . 360 was 💯 all about the eels and dogs , and we didn’t even get a mention .
Apparently half the dogs spine has been told thanks but no thanks . Connective wise , that’s a top of the table spine . Especially Mahoney . He’s a grub , but that team hums through him . I can’t believe they’re pushing Mahoney out for Galvin .
Apparently he’s litterally going to walk straight into the dogs number 7….. man I can’t wait to play that team . Just run Samuela at him all game . He’s a marshmallow in defence .
I honestly no sour grapes at all think it’s legitimately 50/50 whether he will make it as a half . I can’t believe they’re doing this .
Straight up I thought Papenhuyzen when he played u20s for us was 20 times the player Galvin was and is . Fainu has shown just as much in the limited minutes he’s been on the field for us .
Like wtf is going on ? How can this kid with slightly above average talent have such a spell on the nrl that he’s derailed now 3 teams .
I feel like it’s when Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell got famous, and dudes were losing their shit . They’re not that hot! Galvin is not that hot ! Haha he honestly isn’t …
Is all the hype Gould raised about him. Now we get to see how karma works. Take a seat open the bag of popcorn

Lachie is walking into a minefield given the events in the last 24hrs. Should have stuck with the Eels where he would have been welcomed with.open arms. If he thinks things were uncomfortable at the Tigers he better develop a thick skin quick.
None of his words make sense. He wanted to develop his game as a half so he goes to the club with no halves over the one with an elite halfback who seemed happy to mentor him

Sounds like he’ll just about be given the keys to the doggies…please make it make sense

This is before the season kicked off. Already making it clear subliminally that he wanted to be a bulldog
