Until it came to signing Tedesco the year after of course.

The year before, Moses had agreed to come to the Roosters but changed his mind before the June 30 deadline. There and then, all-powerful Roosters chairman Nick Politis refused to deal with Isaac Moses, so much so that he stopped taking his calls.

Politis once hung up on James Packer, who was the country’s richest man at the time but trying to get back into Politis’ inner-circle after the pair had fallen out. "No, you're out," Politis told Packer before hanging up. It seemed unlikely that Politis would yield for Moses.

They dealt with Moses when they wanted Suali, and could get one over the Rabbits

There was more recent history. They made up after this, then Politis helped Moses get back into the game and provided a character reference. The Roosters then signed Suaalii when they were back on good terms.

They then had a massive falling out last year because of the Suaalii deal as Politis felt Moses betrayed him for a second time, even after he went to great lengths to get him back in the game.

However, you are right if there is someone they really want I’m sure they’ll get Robbo or someone else to deal as an intimidatory.

As for Politis and Isaac Moses, Politis wants nothing to do with him. Heard it’s that bad that if they’re even in the same event/room Politis won’t even look at him.

Daley's issue wasn't because of his tv role but because his employer for that role was Sportsbet. It was the links to gambling not the presence in the media that meant he could not do both jobs.
