OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Not sure what he brings as a first receiver, limited speed, a little too sideways and not much of a kicking game. Running two wide he looks better and his best attribute is his ball playing out wide.

While Galvin probably hasn't found his role yet, these things usually end bitterly for us and those whom we love to hate end up making it a little sad for us.

We shall see.
His passing game is strong and his fitness allows him get on the ball a lot. Doesn’t have the speed to be a threat so will need to bulk up to use his strength more.

At this stage he’s a slightly quicker and taller Jackson Hastings.

In an intense game like that, which was very close... Ciro should've used Benjis tactics of leaving Galvin on the bench the entire game.

Reshuffling the spine was the end of em tonight.
Couldn’t agree more! Though I do think Galvin will go well in that team over time, taking Mahoney off for that long tonight was a really bad decision. He was creating so much out of dummy half that Sexton just could not emulate.

I differ in my opinion I think Canterbury need Reed at 9 for 80 minutes he creates and sees opportunities and his support play is excellent

His support play set up Canterbury's try tonight

And I think he is a grub of a player but it helps Canterbury alot
I’m not saying he should have been taken off.
Galvin came on in the halves.
Ciraldo buggered this up.

I also think Mahoney Sexton and Burton work very well together

Burton is the main man like Galvin was at the Tigers Galvin will have to be like Luai at the Tigers and play like Sexton to fit in with Burton

To be honest, his presence hasn’t hurt them that much, they’ve won 2 games and lost the third by 2.
The effect on team harmony of him just waltzing straight into their top 17 when they were playing so well without him will be worth watching.

Seemed it has affected it, he was playing halfback .. I only noticed once sexton pass to him from dummy half . To me that’s telling

I compared LG to Hastings when he was still at the tigers. And this forum shouted me down. Now he’s at the dogs, that’s what everyone hopes he ends up as!

Dogs fans are furious over at the Kennel. For there sake, I hope Lachie can find that potential and steer them round. I still think he is a 6 and a developing one at best at the moment. His plays are too hit or miss and he lacks the fundamentals like speed and a kicking game to warrant the $$$ we were offering him or the praise Gould was giving.

What exactly are they furious about ?

Too bad, so sad

His strength is his passing and ball playing...as well as his enthusiasm and energy popping up everywhere creating an extra man

At the WT, Galvin could take risks. So he did hotshot plays and made mistakes. He played close to the edge.

At the Dogs he's a small fish in a big pool and he has to play percentage. That makes him just a good link player like Brooksy, but with worse defence. Based on last week, I prefer Latu.
