OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Listening to triple m on the drive home.

Buzz posed the question if they think the media has overhyped Galvin and pretty much everyone agreed (James Graham, Gorden Tallis and idk random journalists). Someone even went to the extent that he is Jackson Hastings level.

Oh how the tables have turned.

Is he as fast as Hastings? Hastings has a better kicking game and was the next big thing coming through juniors

Depends on his perception. What has he contributed to the Bulldogs run to the finals? He’s just lucky they had a massive head start before he got there, because the team’s record with him playing in the side doesn’t shout finals contention.
I agree he hasn’t done much, but Galvin is only associated with successful teams, so he will believe it’s greener and would have no second thoughts or regrets.

Look on the bright Side at the Tigers you get an Extra 4 to 5 weeks every year with no stress of Finals the wear and tear on the body because you are forced to play at a higher level

After 5/6 years at the that's the equivalent of playing an extra season

The benifits for later in life Can Not be undervalued just the savings on Medical Bills Alone Big $$$$

Another bonus of not playing Finals the Fans have absolutely no explanations of you playing Next year in Finals

Another bonus Summer starts early you mite have to turn up to training for a few weeks but it's more of a summer camp Lunch club

You are planning your trips chatting with team mates about the best places to get drunk in Bali

Another bonus you start drinking getting smashed on Friday drinks in the bar after training drinks start at 4pm

You get to sleep in with your hangover Saturday morning before telling the coach your having a team meeting and going to be watching tonight's game as a group so you can watch how the better teams play the only problem is your all meeting at the pub at 3pm for a late lunch and beers the game starts at 8pm so you mite not remember much

I think I have to be part of recruitment at the Tigers

The Tigers last game is Saturday night on the gold coast so the can start when the game finishes

I suggested on this forum at the start of this year that Galvin reminded me of Jackson Hastings. Not many people agreed. Now it’s what everyone is wishing for!

I was with you . I thought he was like a poor man’s Scott hill . I still think that .
we will see if Gus Gould was full of shit in the next 12 months about development . Because I think it’s become really clear the tigers were doing everything in thier power to make Galvin look good . The dogs need him to fit their system .
If he doesn’t , how long before his abandons his “greatest teenager ever”

It could go either way couldn’t it. It’s an impressive feat to be playing in the halves in the NRL as an 18 and 19 year old. You can only imagine how good he could be as a 22 and 23 year old with the training and experience behind him. But I just don’t see it. He is not a running threat and he is a defence liability. Physically he’d be in the bottom 5% in the league and I don’t see that changing, I suspect he has the body type where it’s hard to put on weight. And you can’t do much about a lack of speed, you tend to either have it or you don’t. I don’t think he’ll ever live up to the hype.

For me it’s intent . You look at someone like the Fainu boys , same age as Galvin and they just have intent in everything they do . Even Mason .. he bounces off because he’s still a cub , but he puts his body where I wouldn’t put your head lol . He has intent .
The catching style might have flown when he was 18 but he’s 20 now , and will be 21 mid next season . The kid moniker is already starting to fade to with him . And the press are all coming for him . Unfortunately a lot of that is because the knives are out for Gus and Moses , so he will be the avenue at which guys like buzz will get at both of them .
He will need a strong constitution. Because unless he is the next great half , nothing he will do will satisfy .

If Galvin failed and Gould and Moses copped it as a result, would we call that a hatrick or a trifecta? It would be like the tigers were a double agent to take revenge on all those that f’ed us over.

Don’t forget he said we’re buying him for the player he will be in 3 years. What idiots eh. Let’s disrupt the Tigers and our own season so he’s good in 3 years.
