OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I love reading threads like this.
ALL of you were on your knees for this kid when he was playing worse footy than he is now.
I think the kid makes it - on his efforts alone.
I still don’t know it’s in the halves though?

I wish him well, he was a kid,
poorly advised and promoted into NRL far too early by an inexperienced coach that if he had his time over may not make that same decision.

Reality is, at any other club the likes of Miller, Tallyn and Lachie are just making their way into ressies.
At ours they’re gifted top 30 contracts.

100%.
I also agree he’ll make it. I suggested a couple of years ago he could be a Brad Mackay styled lock. He isn’t a half but he is a footballer. He is usually trying and very fit. The lack of development has stunted him but he should recover.

Team Galvin made a massive mistake going to the Dogs. If he had gone to Parra he would be playing no6 outside Moses and he would not be burden with kicking or directing play. All he would have to do is run off Moses or at worst control the non dominant edge. He could have learned his trade off arguably the second best playmaker in the comp. I guess if he had any brains he would have taken Richo’s offer and played 6 outside Luai, but Iam glad he didn’t

I think 13 all day he needs another offseason Cam Murray style of player would be a great link man

to be fair, he was offering more than anyone else at the time so there was some excitement there, but it didn't last long and money v performance would have killed our cap - glad he pissed off despite being a supporter early on.

Do you also love reading the HBG goons talk about how Richo botched his deal and we couldn't sign him long-term? I just wonder what the Richo rhetoric would have been if Galvin was soaking up a million bucks worth of salary cap right now.
