OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

The Raiders have a no 6 who started his career with little fanfare yet being an elite junior talent and now is a gun footballer. He is everything Galvin isn’t and is probably getting 30% less coin. I guess Galvin did not start all the hype, but he certainly used it as a platform to exit the Tigers and bad mouth the place on the way out the door.

Like others Iam enjoying his and the Bulldogs failures and keeping thing how good Karma is
ricky will have to break out the Arthur ash to keep Strange at canberra at next contract negotiation .

I think he stays at 5/8. He will develop his boot eventually when he's done 100,000 kicks or so. His strength is running fitness not wrestling fitness which is what you need in the middle. In fact I don't think he can make a head on 1-1 tackle at all. Look how many times Critta makes a mistake and goes in to protect Lachie instead of staying out.

He will eventually develop a long passing game (not the basketball passes) and a big boot, but he will never live up to this hype for sure.

This all sounds like one very average footballer

According to chatgdp

Before Galvin arrived: 83.3% win rate (10-2)
After Galvin arrived in 2025: 42.9% win rate (6-8)
Galvin's Bulldogs career overall (2025-26): 38.5% win rate (10-16 after the Tigers loss)
The loss of the hooker to Nth Qld has had a big impact on the performance of the team. He is a competitor and always is in your face. In close games, he is the type of player you do not want to play. I cannot understand why he was let go, nor the half for that matter.

Think it played its part

Ciro reckons it doesn't get to him and he can't be rattled.

Disagree.
He was ordinary as and was gifted a weak try that was clearly a no try.

He isn't the guy the dogs are trying to make out he is.

Have no doubt it did, even towards the end he looked to be on a mission at all costs to hit the line.

He also isn’t a half everyone knows that.

Just not a fan of the constant booing of a 20yr old.

I don’t think he’s as responsible for the slide as we’d all like him to be.
He isn’t. I called it before he even played a game for them that they would fall in a heap at the backend of the year, regardless. They overachieved astronomically in the first half of 25. Here’s the funny part though. Optically, it does look he came in and tanked them because when he got there is about the same time the breaks were put on them. And because I hate him and what he did to the club, plus all the glazing Fox Sports did in that Kings Birthday game, I think it’s funny he’s been made the scapegoat.

He deserves everything he gets . He made his bed he can lie in it. I love the thought of his dad being in the crowd and listening to every boo for 80 minutes. Can’t wait to boo him again next game.

Galvin just doesn’t do that much. He shovels the ball sideways. Has an average long kicking game. Still has a terrible short kicking game - he puts one dead every week on average. No run threat. Below average defender. People keep saying he’s only 20 and is going to blossom into a really good player but I just don’t see it.
To be an ABOVE average 1/2 you need to have SPEED and/or A STEP [and IQ].
Galvin lacks all those so IMO will just be an average 1/2.
Not spectacular but not too bad.
