Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

How about everyone trusts Benji and the coaching staff to make the right decisions on who is ready for NRL and who isn’t ?
Too many people commenting on subjects they know next to nothing about.
You're right.

Let's not comment, speculate, provide commentary on, give our opinions on or debate this topic.

Or any other topics for that matter.

What on earth is this post even trying to achieve? This is a forum, Vicious. It is made entirely of opinions, commentary and conjecture on what has, is or may happen with this football club....

I haven’t heard Benji once say that Latu Fainu is not well in his plans to play NRL ?
I have heard him say he’s happy to have 4 genuine halves options to choose from for the upcoming season.

You are right and I stated my opinion that I believe Benji will be placed to know when Galvin or any other young and emerging players are ready to play NRL, above anyone posting on this forum.
As you would have seen there has been many posts stating there is too much pressure and expectation being placed on the kid.
I would say it’s been evenly balanced with plenty of negativity claiming he’s too young, too inexperienced or not physically developed enough to be playing NRL anytime soon.
My point is we are all supposed to be hardcore Wests Tigers supporters, so how about getting right behind all our young and emerging talent and having a bit of trust that if the coaching staff are stating they are well in contention to play NRL, we simply take their word for it until being proven otherwise.

It’s one thing to back your team and another to be smart about an emerging player. In a season we are no chance ti win the premiership. I guess ignorance is bliss.

I understand what you're trying to say, I just think it's a little misguided. Respectfully of course.

But this.....

and this.....
having a bit of trust that if the coaching staff are stating they are well in contention to play NRL,

…are two completely separate things. And that is an important distinction.

Being hardcore WT supporters and getting behind our juniors is not solely the domain of those who blindly trust the coaching team to get it right.

But beyond that, it's a separate issue, as I do, in many ways, trust the judgement of the likes of a Benji or a Bomber Morris to make good decisions around the side, but that doesn't pre-empt me from also having my own opinion or take on a variety of matters, from junior development, to selections, to structures.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

The Mole with article number 999 indicating Lachlan Galvin to leave the club (saying Penrith will target him to replace Luai this time). No substance, nothing to it. Just a man who must get something out of Galvin leaving Tigers if it happens and is still filthy his mate Sheens got the sack.

And his other mate McDonnell is at manly . That’s where all this is coming from. Drumroll please , who is galvins manager and who has thier fingers all over the manly roster ……….
There’s no evidence any of this is true . If he plays well , we win games and he’s front and centre of the culture , this will all become wishful thinking … like the Curtis Rona signing being 24 hrs away

The media just need to let the kid play and develop at his own rate. Looking forward to see how he plays this year (whether that is in Flegg, Cup or NRL).

This mite be a dumb question but year next could he have number 7 on his back ?
Not a dumb question, would be great with the 7 on his back, but I imagine the coaches we have atm are Sheenius like and he will end up playing where HE DONT BELONG...
