Lachlan Galvin #277 *Megathread*

No mate. You said the club stated emphatically that Galvin would see out his contract, which they did. Richo even threatened legal action if other clubs approached him. And now he might not even see out 25. Sugarcoat it if you have to, but they have backtracked.
So has he to be fair - surprised it’s not mentioned more.
He was on the idiot box more than once saying he wanted to help turn the club round and see out his contract..,

A few months later he’s whoring himself out to Mitch Moses

Honestly who gives a shit about a 19 year old kid . Luke others have said I’m more irritated with the club screwing up the Large negotiations than letting Galvin go .
But if I’m playing devils advocate , someone at the club really pumped up the tires of that Harold Matt’s prem team . As nearly to a man they’ve all behaved like they’re superstars already .
Was it sheens and McDonnell ? The whole club ? Benji . Like from miller and his shenanigans to Galvin and his shenanigans to even the large boys coming in a trying to dictate how and when they play first grade , humility definitely wasn’t one of that teams key virtues . Jesus …
We screwed the pooch with those kids . There’s plenty of kids coming through to rival that Matt’s team in the future . Hopefully we learnt our lessons with too much too soon .
Bang on. What is the message these kids have been getting through the grades? Whatever it was it has been a cancer on the club that needs to be removed.

The demands of the large boys, work ethic of Miller, disrespect of Galvin and the impatience of TDS, top 30 deals handed out like lollies. No more star treament, no more promises of first grade. Work your way through the grades and earn what youre given or go elsewhere.

So the Punk wants to be tutored by a better Coach….i wonder when the Dogs hired This Vella guy that Galvin seems to be infatuated by?…and what is his role?…never seen him in the coaches box with JT…If Gus hired this Vella guy this year we all know why…
Sounds typical Galvin Family moves.

Shift him into "successful environments" to make him look good.

Straight into the team that's coming first, which he has contributed to, in no way... but, he'll be in a team that's contending for a premiership, not the spooners that are battling away.

Feel sorry for the dogs - Galvin has shown he's an absolute curse for club culture and on field, he hasn't been that good. Burton, Sexton, Hayward - some ones getting dogged by this.

I don’t feel sorry for them

I think the frustration is being directed at the wrong people. Tomorrow morning, don’t be surprised if a very one-sided article pops up from a media outlet known to favour a particular club’s narrative.

This AI version on DT/Code Sports of "future" Galvin as a hard-man in a Bulldogs jersey is beyond ludicrous!

The video with Read - Riccio and Carayannis (giggling like little a schoolboy who farted) is even worse!

The last two NRL quality players we 'lost' to supposed greener pastures at the Bulldogs were Woods and Kautoga...

Woods wanted to play with Klem - but was released from the Bulldogs after just 3 wins from 14 games - and NEVER played for NSW or Australia again (having played 14 straight Origin games over 5 seasons while at the Tigers)!! He went on to become an unwanted journeyman at Cronulla - Manly & St George....

Awesome management by Isaac Moses that ultimately undermined his clients legacy- and completely halted his rep football career - when he had signed as an incumbent NSW & Test prop!

Kautoga wanted to learn off his idol Kikau - played 2 games and got flicked to Parra!
He is just typical of the human collateral damage from any NRL squad managed by Gould...

Galvin is in nappies - and will likely leave the Bulldogs while still in nappies but just more shit on and in them!!
FIXED

Yes we can.
He has proven it for a couple of seasons now.
Of course we should wait for the season to pan out, but surely hes unlikely to proceed to next year unless things improve.
In fairness, last year he really didn't have the cattle, nor the year before if you want to blame 2023 on Benji too.

I just don't know who you think would have squeezed more than the wooden spoon out of the players we had in 2023 and 2024.

Galvin will carry this for a long time and it will implode on him , he will play poor and get bullied on field every game by hard nose players , Galvin snr is a disgrace to allow this to go this way for his son , and Galvin need to pull his head in , he is ok not a great yet. If ever ,

That’s weak. He had a decent enough roster to win one more game each season - which is all he had to do.
He does not get a pass for either season. He had a squad containing heaps of big game experience and more than a few rep players and he couldn’t get them to work together.
He is on his last chance mate and failure to crack the top 75% of teams this year will have the beating drums at a deafening level.

We shouldn't be releasing him if all we are getting is $165k transfer fee.

Horrible deal if true.
I think our hands been forced but that being said, what he and his manager have done to this club this year is unforgivable.

Galvin has worn out his welcome, I believe.
He is toxic and we dont want that around our club.
Anti-culture, allow that poisoned chalice at the next club that welcomes him.
