So back to my original question is who’s good and why are they good ...

Well if a team has form/function and looks well drilled and motivated they would be good coaches ...who is good ? that is for the head coach to decide with whom he surrounds himself with .
At this juncture you can only make the assumption that the assistants that the coach has around him are not that flash ..case point watching what is presented each week on the field !

Well you need more than 5 NRL standard players in your team to work with...that’s not excusing anybody as they put the squad together...

Maybe that’s what all this shuffling of selections is about.. they have the players but can’t work out what positions to play them in

Previous to Hartigan, we bought Momo, and Doeihie , two panic buys and both wingers. Momo since moved on, and AD has played wing, FB, centre and 5/8. AD has been doing ok at 5/8 and now to centre. We keep hoping for TT to perform but appears either slow or not gifted. J Lelui appears lazy and and unfit and unpredictable. Cini and Hoffmann don't look 1st gde material. J the jet has not got on the runway. We don't have a ball playing forward. We don't have an aggressive forward. We don't have a forward leader. Our game plan is archaic. Please feel free to disagree.

Honestly speaking I think Simon Dwyer is a big part of the problem, along with the other assistants.

There I said it.

Maybe Madge can coach KOE Cup.
Use his sus army drill sergeant stuff to get the young guys fit and ready for grade.

The KOE coach can take over FG, bring in Johnny Morris as assistant, bit if FG experience to help.

Why do you feel this way?

Ben Gardiner (magpies coach) getting big wraps on Kayo tonight. Magpies convincingly beat 3rd placed North’s with most of their normal players not able to play due to the bubble

What the coach has had these guys since last October and still does not know what position they could or should play..the coaching issue to me is looking more like the Brooks excuse book everybody making excuses..a pleasure tonight to watch how a real coach presents a team , its not the grade or the quality of player its the presentation and the attitude of the playing group in general that's impressive.

Interesting isn't it, Cini and Hoffman were buys I believe from the previous recruitment guy. Pauga and Ogden are Hartigan recruits and look very good prospects. You live and die by your recruitment.

Getting the runs on the board seems to have the respect of the playing group ..the new breed young and gelled into the new game ...knives are probably already out if you know what I mean.

Why would they fire him? He's just the stats man I think. Our current schemozzle is hardly Dwyer's fault.

Bellamy i think has mentioned he wont be coaching for much longer, and wants to go into a background type role

We would be stupid not to get him

If we do get him i want Madge and bellamy cam on in gamws 24/7

Gardiner has a side that is well drilled, confident, and with a smart game plan. They move the ball , and have variety in attack . What he has acheived is the complete opposite of the top side. Madge should seek his help.

they play a very simple game. use their forwards to dent the line and find their front and play shape off the back of that. with Liddle or Simpkin typically sniffing around the ruck as well they have another dimension. they play footy how it should be played. with size, skill, speed and aggression with back rowers that know how to hit holes at speed. our first grade side would struggle to beat them in opposed sessions at this point.

100%

That guy is a diamond in the rough.
Sounds like he's had players follow him from club to club.

We should look at Dean Pay as an assistant coach.

Great defensive coach and also showed skill in finding someone stupid enough to cover most of Mbye’s freight
