Lacking structure and a plan but plenty of spirit

Proud of he boys tonight.

Woods was massive as was Farah. Utai rounds out my top three.

Very pleased with the efforts of Spence and Sue. Both are welcome additions to our forward rotation. If we had Galloway back we would have a very decent forward pack.

Disappointed with Pettybourne. He is not showing enough punch for mine and nearly always props before he hits the line. Can't see how you can carry both him as Blair who are both very similar footballers.

Our defence was woeful out wide tonight (worst I have seen since 2002) but in tight I thought we were very good.

I like Jack B but thought he was lost tonight. It's to be expected. Not sure what we can do about it.

I agree with all the above but I wasn't expecting much with direction with Moltzen at 7\. We played on guts true but cant see us going forward from tonights game

timing was out all night.
plenty of heart, but some poor discipline is killing us, understandably our young blokes are making young bloke errors. second half was encouraging, given the injuries a couple more blokes are going to get some fast track experience

Yeh, they had a good dig, lost it in the first half turning over too much ball….crowd to life in the second 40...was quite an atmosphere there

Good to hear the atmosphere was good. Despite how poor we were, we were in that game until 5 mins to go.

This is going to be a frustrating year. So long as I can see improvement and a plan, I will be happy.

Not seeing the latter yet.

We have no halves,Sirro is not the answer and Moltzen before his injury was not the answer, maybe Potter might have to bite the bullet and give Brooks a go.

Agree, haven't seen anything in Sirro of real quality, maybe he needs time but if we are going to blood younger players, then try him at lock..

You are kidding Ink , the standard of tonights game wasnt worthy of an NRL game the crowd was quiet all night ,as for spence ? Potter hooked him and he wasnt going back on until Moltz gave Potter no choice.
Sirro just kept passing to his inside or outside runner all night and mnade it simple for the defence ,Brooks may not get a chance at first grade because it will put us over the cap ,, and how the hell are we in that predicament.
Well most have been calling for 3 changes and injuries have forced their hands , or will Utai who is a park footballer get another crack whilst he puts reddy into the centres,,Woods farah and buchanan can hold their heads up , they had a dig ,but the rest of the forwards were rubbish , pettybourne was playing left and right ,, it just depended where the ball was ,, if it was right he was on the left ,, he deadset dogged it tonight .why did Potter start spence and leave fulton on the bench ? another masterstorke by a rookie .

You think Sue was rubbish? Big call. I thought he bet the line and looked sharp.

What makes you say Spence was hooked? I certainly didn't see it that way.

Watching on tv you do not see things you see live at the game ,Spence was hooked , i was sitting right near the bench and you could see it in spences reaction when he was replaced

Impressed with sue and Fulton was enormous when he came on. He took over and started running things and we looked organised. Sirro has no place in fg at the moment he's got a lot of work to do.

I agree with being impressed about tonight.

We had half a dozen first choice players out and a few receive injuries in the game against a full strength Broncos team. We were in it until 5 to go and Hodges try.

The first half was very poor. Errors and penalties and some poor fringe defense yet again.

The second half was good. Some grit and determination.

Sue looked great out there as did Woods.

I feel real sorry for Timmy. Another knee reconstruction will set him back along way. We may have seen the end of him tonight.

The boys showed real courage to hang in and be in the game with minutes to go…..just a shame that same courage and commitment was nowhere to be seen in the first half, some of the most gutless defence you would ever have the misfortune to see. Slow starts are killing us also.

In this sort of game last year under sheens we roll over and get drilled by 30+. This year we hang in the contest and have a go. I like what potter is doing with the team.

We have a stack of injuries and it would be easy to throw your hands up and lay down. We definitely aren't the most skilful team right now but we are showing resilience and tenacity. I like that from my footy team.

It's about building a culture. And that will take more than a year to build. Injuries have probably cost us the season. I don't care if we don't win another game this year so long as we don't give up and build toward next year.

500%

Sue and Spence are good, so are Farah, woods and Utai. Our guys seemed to be weak compared to players of other teams. Do we need strong conditioning to build our body parts, otherwise we will continue to have our fair share of injuries? Our players definitely have to build their strength as either the other players steam rolled over us or able to break our lines. We also need to improve our speed so that we have time for the next phase None of our players seemed to be able to read the next play, in other words, we are slow.Hope Benji regain his form when he returns. We might as well give the younger and up an coming guys the opportunity in NRL :master:
