Lame Membership Numbers - Whats the fix?

I renewed my membership.

Supporting my club is a given. But there is a point fir everyone when the line between support & robbery gets blurred.

As far as other clubs are concerned with interstate memberships, over half of them offer away tickets. Tigers, Knights & Warriors are the only clubs who don't have an interstate membership that provides at least 1 ticket to a home or away game.

Bulldogs charge $55 and give twice as much merch & access to a game.

Thats amazing value. The Tigers one in comparison is a rip off.

I know its about supporting the club, but when you compare the clubs interstate packages, tigers is one of the worst.

as far as advertising goes via merch, a key ring, a sticker & a lanyard do sweet little. I'd take a cap over that cheap crap.

but alas, non ticketed memberships have a smaller member kit then everyone else, just to further enhance the poor value & help convey the message that we're lesser supporters based on where we choose to live.

I couldn't agree more …. Particularly the condescending types who pat themselves on the back for going along with whatever the club serves up. The club can only move forward with constructive criticism and listening to what ALL the fans have to say.

A suggestion would be to email this issue to <membership@weststigers.com.au>to get a proper response instead of taking to the forum to vent your views. I'm sure they would like to hear how you would do it better.

Perhaps …. Although I suspect the recipient may be an overworked membership person who may have more important things to attend to.

looked through the Eels packages and gee wizz they put us to absolute shame. Signed jerseys with the more expensive packages (many named after legends of the club). Their memberships already exceed ours despite only being open to RENEWALS so far (i think) and being on for far less time.

Also read this comment i found on another forum, "I'm curious about the renewal process at other clubs? At Souths, you can sign up to what they call the "rolling rabbit plan". Basically, once you sign up, your membership is divided into smaller monthly payments which are direct debited each month. This makes it easier for those fans who struggle to come up with the payment in one lump sum.

The big benefit for the club in this, is that once you sign up, you basically agree to be a member until you contact the club and tell them that you don't want to be a member anymore. This opt out, rather than opt in approach means that when the membership options come out for the following year, those who have signed up to the plan are rolled over automatically. It's why we already have nearly 10k members after the membership has only been available for a few weeks.

Do other clubs do this? I'm guessing that they don't because most seem to have started from scratch again. So I guess the next question is, why don't other clubs do this? It would save them all the work of having to chase previous years members to sign up again and again at the start of every new year. Plus you would have to think it would make it easier for the club financially as instead of receiving the majority of memberships in one massive lump sum and having to dole it out for the remainder of the year, they would be receiving a uniform amount each month throughout the year.

I can't believe that a lot of other clubs haven't taken up this method."

"The Knights have an option rolling renewals too. Knights currently at 7,586"

If WT management are reading this, THAT is the kind of stuff you need to do in order to consistently hit 15k in a bottom 4 year, and 25k in a top 4 year.

I thought we were doing the rolling membership thing but from what you say, I must be mistaken. Oh well, not the first time that I have laboured under a misapprehension.

Tigers have rolling memberships this year and have also had monthly payment options for a while now.

if we have rolling memberships then why are they hounding us to renew? it should automatically do it and numbers rise a couple of thousand in a day.

I think its due to the change in grounds mainly (Allianz -> ANZ)

I thought we already did this too or read we will be doing it from this year

Previously - '11-'12 or '12 - '13 Humpty changing seating classifications at LO prevented this

I believe the rolling membership kicks in next year for those choosing the pay by the month option this coming year.

It is part of a centralised purchase and renewal option process being rolled out NRL wide

Wont get charged??

Your post makes no sense even though youre under a missapprehension…why would you be annoyed if you were not going to be charged? (Not that it will happen anyway)

I dont see why DD the payment option will affect the rollover function....but who knows

I'm looking at ticketed memberships this year (I've been an out-of-towner for the last couple and am looking to upgrade). A few questions have occurred to me.

1\. If you buy a family membership, do you get the kids supporter pack as well as the adult one?

2\. If you buy the Claws bronze membership for ANZ, it is $50 for adults, concessions or children, and $200 for a family (2 adults + 2 children). That means that you would be better off getting 4 adult memberships instead of 1 family membership. That way you get 4 membership packs plus greater flexibility to use spare tickets for extra adults if the kids can't make it. All other family packs have a saving of about 20%**. Am I missing something here?**

3\. If you buy the Premium gold family membership it costs $820\. If you buy the Claws gold membership for Leichhardt or Campbelltown ($455) plus ANZ ($250), the total cost is only $705, ie $115 cheaper, but you get 2 member kits instead of 1\. Similar savings happen on some other options too. **Again, am I missing something?**

I'd be interested in hearing others' decision process for choosing packages too.

@weststigers.com.au>The responses were said:
1\. A family membership includes 2 adult and 2 child supporter packs.

2\. The adult prices for ANZ were made 'as accessible and affordable as possible'. Getting the family membership gives the different supporter pack to the 4 adults individual memberships, so choose which ever suits you best.

3\. The premium membership is given priority over the claws membership of best seats at Leichhardt.

I see memberships are ticking up at about 100 per day now. We are up to 2532\. I think by this time last year we were already up to 3500\. This week should be a big rush though with the cut-off for keeping reserved seats.</membership@weststigers.com.au>

because i dont have to bother about renewing and any of that rubbish in 2015\. theclub will just charge me again and thatll be that. was such a pain this year to sign up anyway, site was horrible ended up paying over several phone calls (didnt work first time around).

and the rolling membership wil boost NRL and tigers memberships substantially. With every club doing it we will pass 300k within a year or two, 220k atm (thats nrl not tigers).

Smith is doing a great job off field but theonfield stuff including reffing and rules needs a shake up. The 'war room' idea proposed for 2015 could work, 97%+ in the NHL so it works there for sure.

Whats the misapprehehnsion? tigers will start the rolling membership in 2015 right? so the monthly memberships from this year will automatically be renewed at the start of 2015 unless you opt out of course.

I haven't had a membership in the past because i live out of Sydney and couldn't see any value - this year I'm considering getting a claws membership at ANZ - good value and a couple of extra games thrown in - just waiting for the draw to make sure i can fit a few trips to Sydney in to an already crowded 2014 schedule.
I think a lot of people hold off on memberships until the draw is released and see who we play where.

To me, it is not where we play the other teams but when. If we get plenty of Saturday and Sunday games next year, I'll be upgrading my membership.

Just called up to renew my membership, was promised a call back within one hour. Three hours later, no call.

You would think we are overwhelmed with members or something… :wtf

Yeh, I recieved a call yesterday and the bloke was halfway thru his spiel trying to get me to renew, before I informed him Id already renewed

Weve still got a long way to go here it seems

It leaves a sour taste doesn't it ….. The front office is still as unprofessional as ever.
The change in management appears to have done little to improve the situation.

Considering my renewal call came from Qld its no wonder you don't get a return phone call from Concord.

Been a joke for a long time the membership mob!!!! Doesn't seem like its improving
