The problem is fans buy into the narrative ....50 posts already speculating on what a numpty said with no names just innuendo..everyone then thinks is this or that guy depending on whether they like them or not..

None of these Jurno's em no sorry Gossip mongers ever back up what they spruik..they just sit back and enjoy the spoils of their hard hitting investigation..

The Club is backing Maguire just accept that...the woman's day stuff..meh

But who is the squealer?

Someone who's not happy that narrows it down to about 9

Can’t wait for 2022 when all these grub players who are pushing the coach out will be gone by then. Club needs to do the right thing and back the coach

NRL360 - Lara is spruiking that she has the inside word on player dissent over Madges’s communication style. Thinks he isn’t giving players respect or a reason when they’re dropped. Even dug up his Souths dramas as evidence he rubs players the wrong way. Any ideas who she’s matesy with? She really seems to have it in for him. 🤔

Let us consider for a moment that losing the dressing room, as in get lost, is exactly what Maguire wants. It interests me that the players that have performed well this season are backing Maguire. The rest can get lost.

She rub me the wrong way tonight on 360.. The club is trying to offload the rubbish players and there weak work ethic and she questioning things.. I did enjoy Kent and Hooper getting into her and sticking up for the club because they see what he is doing.
I think she is pissed her beloved Dragons are a shambles in the front office / boardroom and Kent said they need to do what Tigers did a few years ago and make it one club..

It was interesting (and annoying as a Tiges fan) wasn't it? She definitely didn't seem to buy the whole 'hard work over everything' mantra that the other three on the panel were buying into.

She tried to address the emotional, psychological side of it more (not very well, she's generally better than that) I think by implying that even if the guys aren't tough enough, they're still *his* guys and he needs to support them while he has them.

To some extent where there is smoke there is fire. If there is no truth or it is being overblown, it is a result of someone with an agenda.

Its only a problem if the board get the wobblies with media attention.

There is no reason for the Board to get the wobbles, they are not answerable to anyone. It would only come to a head if some major sponsors got nervous about renewing their support.

The sponsors shouldnt have a say either, but the chair??

Money always has a say.

Don't believe everything you read on the interwebs. WTs generate clicks for these donut heads. That is all

Madge rubbing players up the wrong way is not new news. However it doesnt
mean Madge is in the wrong.

What's disappointing is finding out that our club captain was low in confidence way back when the season had just resumed.

They had little face 2 face interaction during the lock down, yet Mybe was having a sook.

If your captain is carrying on, it's obviously going to filter thru the group.

It's a war of attrition until the roster is rejiged.

Personally don't think Lara was making it up - in fact it sounded as she has heard it directly from a Tigers player.

Anyway, as long as the club is backing Madge this doesn't bother me as the weak and the leakers will be squeezed out.

Dissent can be expressed in a respectful manner through discussion. We know from reports Maguire offered players the opportunity to have their say. In a mature organisation communication between players and coach builds bonds, trust and respect. It sounds far healthier than allowing tensions to simmer.

Clearly there’s some unhappy players trying to force the coach out. Good news is they’ll be gone by 2022, fingers crossed the club supports the coach through this crap and doesn’t do anything stupid

I love hearing this. Madge should be rubbing the senior high playing players up the wrong way. They aren’t performing to the pay checks they signed, they are all fluff and don’t have what it takes to get to the next level or lead this young team in the direction we need them to take it.

Hopefully some of those big names pack up and get out.

There are a number of players off contract this year, and will need to be cut, so not surprising that there would be possibly a few unhappy players. Especially when there will be players cut at all NRL clubs, there will not be too many opportunities out there.

So tired of these talentless media hacks. Who cares what this intellectually sequestrated halfwit says or thinks!

Who cares, has anyone ever taken any notice of what Pitt says.

Maybe, wasn't @Demps infatuated with her?

Re journos making it up...Nofa effectively confirmed it is all true...and that certain players are leaking stuff. So, let's not blame the journos. This has been an issue for years amongst our 'senior' players.

Nofoaluma expressed regret after details of the meeting ended up in the media and warned the leak had the potential to jeopardise trust within the team.

**"**For myself, I'm pretty disappointed that it even got out because that there can ruin teams," he said.**

"For something like that to get out when it's an open and honest conversation among the playing group.

**"That 'walking on eggshells', that came from within the group****. The players were honest with each other and we were up front. There's a lot of noise happening around the club so we've just got to deal with it.

Yet the winger admitted it was a bad look for the players airing the club's dirty laundry to reporters. He pointed to the Roosters as an example of a club with a strong culture that wouldn't act in such a manner.

"That's what builds a strong club. **Clubs at the top you never hear anything really coming out of their playing group.**

"If something happens you don't hear of it. And I think that's why they're so successful, because they're so tight and rock solid with each other" he said.

Speaks truth and runs harder than our forwards

not trying to toot my own horn but i mentioned this was coming. I had it mentioned that there are some disgruntled dudes at the top. Its created a division in the squad with alot of the younger players silently backing madge. Its our higher profile dudes that are causing the issues.

Well let’s back the younger players and move the others on. It’s pretty obvious who is disgruntled

- benji
- Reynolds
- brooks
- packer

There alone is $2.5m and we are getting zero return. Tell them they will never play first grade with us again and unless you want to play reserves go find yourself another club.

There is a easy solution to all this drama. Extend the coach and tell the players who don’t like to be trained hard and made accountable to find another club. The longer they take to extend Madge the more this drama will build.

Great idea

I am. She could kick me in the nads and I still wouldn't be upset with her

It's obvious Madge has the players he wants backing him. The disgruntled ones are the guys he wants to get rid of. If he has supposedly disrespected them I'm good with that because they have been disrespecting the club and us as supporters by the way they have performed for so long not to mention leaking information about team meetings to the press. The only way we will entice players of the quality that we want to this club is with a culture change and that is what Madge is trying to instill
