Are we not one of the more financially viable teams In the comp now? ?

All a guess for us fans as they don't release any figures. The did release a graph showing we made a loss last year though.

Oh right, I thought there was mention of us being one of the few teams to turn a profit year on year for the last few seasons. I guess no one knows how this situation will affect clubs individually anyway.

The league will look very different if it is forced to shut down for a season or 2. I actually think a Tigers team will be one of the survivors clubs like Cronulla, Manly, Roosters with small fan bases and small territory areas will be the most ones in trouble.

They will probably survive due to money and power however it’s hard to justify there position in a comp with only 4 Sydney clubs which is what could happen

What I'd expect, even if the NRL goes broke. Fox is going to need the content, so someone will be running a comp. After going through what we are now, people will be searching for normality to return, to be successful I would think that comp would look to include all current teams!

I can't see that happening. Any new organisation will ask for submissions for inclusion. If clubs are broke they won't have a submission.

Actually interesting point is the clubs don't own their own intellectual properties, so if that was the case no current clubs would be included!

With the AFL cancelling their season it makes NRL exposed to so much more culpability. Forget the money NRL and close the season and escape the liability.
