I was about to counter this by saying Newcastle were a basket case off the field, and that hindered the on field results, but then i remembered something :blush:

Funny how when they sorted out the rubbish with Tinkler they went on to win 8 of their last 11.

And they were pre lim finalists last yr. I think in the long run, Bennett's time in the Hunter will be under valued.

All the noise coming out of Concord suggests Potter will be sacked… GO said today out of respect they are allowing Potter to present to the Board.... Well that's almost saying goodbye without saying so...If Potter was a smart man he would resign before he is sacked... Everyone seems to believe that Potter will not get a new contract except Potter himself... He is either ignorant or arrogant or just plain stupid..

It doesn't look like Mick Potter has much of a future at Wests Tigers, but that's not to say he shouldn't go through the due process. He isn't going to sneak out the back door and leave his resignation on the table. He'll front up to management, give a report on his tenure and answer the hard questions. That's professional, not arrogant.

I think overall he has been underwhelming but it's not been the abject failure some claim it to be. It's hard to motivate anyone when there is uncertainty about employment.
