On the face of it, I agree with you, which is why I am leaping to the conclusion that we have either signed him or definitely pulled out.

Management MUST know that we are all hanging out for Latrell. There is no obligation to have a Q&A, why the hell would you say lets do this in the current climate? It HAS to be one of three things...

1. We have signed Latrell
2. Something has happened and we have officially forever pulled the pin on him
3. Management has zero idea of how the fans feel about this

I'm pretty happy with Twal, Garner, Mikaele, Talua even Chee-Kam extending ..Liddle was a good move at the time as well...all signings are a risk ..the 1st 4 guys have a lot of upside ...I think all will be better this year and locked in beyond 2020..

Leilua is a good signing...

They have picked the eyes as far as junior recruitment goes as well..

Maguire had them playing well last year with only a limited prep..with or without a big name...I think they will go better this season....

Hooker is a concern..

agreed Geo, signing and retention has a much more steady and rational flavour about it than years gone past. There hasnt been a decision (within our control) that I've questioned yet.

Hooker is a huge concern but fullback is equally as concerning.... I’m hoping they can close Mitchell. With him I think we make the 8, without him we don’t.

Agree 100% in that potentially we will be stronger if these blokes continue to improve.
Just want us to stop talking about signings and actually secure and lock down 2 really good players who will complement these younger blokes.
But, until I see the improvement on the paddock and see the marquee signings I’ll continue to be cynical about our recruitment. Been disappointed for too long. But I’ll be the happiest man alive if I have to say I was wrong.

At the end of the day my negative posts are borne out of years of disappointment. Just want to see us do something right

100% agree our retention has been excellent plus the development players..
We have a coach that gets the best out of his players and believe we did a great jobs this past season with the players he had available..

It's just a really big concern to me and something is clearly wrong.. Not sure what but where this is smoke there is fire..

Well another week comes to a close and nothing but a huge announcement about the coloured of jerseys being worn by the kids.
Far out.
Yes I’m impatient.
We’ve lost an origin standard second rower, a great centre, two hookers and probably our first choice utility.
We’ve gained a potentially good second rower and the son of a once good player.
No one either wants or can afford Mitchell yet we still can’t close the deal
Politis is helping us yet we still can’t close the deal.
Bloody hard being a WestsTigers tragic.

Marsters is hardly a great centre. Adequate perhapd. I like the look of Talau and think he will be great for us.

I dontbthink its all doom and gloom. Remember when we had players like rankin running sround? Maguire is getting rid of the under achieving players but it will take time.

If Packer pulls his thumb out then im quite happy with our forward pack.

Fullback is our biggest concern.

Fullback and hooker, especially with JR possibly being out of the picture now. Forwards are good, backs still pretty slow tho. Hoping Talau turns into a game breaking centre, but it still would've been nice to have just one truly elite player in the team for next season, even if it's just for the buoyancy he would bring to the team, the club and long suffering supporters alike.
