Just goes to show how shonky some of this stuff is with other clubs … after signing Arrow they claim they cant afford LM, we don’t have enough in our cap to fit him in … a week later LM is about to sign a 3 year deal with them … !! that’s bulldust … let’s hope that the Roosters play hard ball and don’t allow the transfer for this season … and what’s does the NRL think of these types of signings where they can clearly see something is not right about it … nothing … !! Just goes to show that NRL itself is on the take … they allow the stronger clubs to get stronger and don’t care if the weaker clubs get weaker … !!

The NRL isn't on the take. He didn't sign with us because he didn't want to, same with Arrow. Regardless of the rubbish we're force fed, we are not an attractive club. The elite players don't want to play for us.

They bailed souths out of a salary cap mess 2 years in a row, they wrote Inglis a reference after he was caught speeding whilst over the limit.
No club has ever had this done in the past, nor will it happen in the future.
Even the calls souths received from officials during their 2014 title win was ridiculous, the NRL wanted souths to win, and they got their wish.

Fair enough but it's not Souths fault or the NRL's fault that we are in the predicament we are currently in.

It's never our fault

Well said. The first step to overcoming a problem is admitting you have one. And Pascoe et al seem to be oblivious of that.

They know we have problems but to admit it publicly would be career suicide

Do they? One forumer said Pascoe told him the media are to blame for our image and recruitment.

And if Pascoe (and anyone else on our management roster )honestly believes that he/they should be unemployed

The corner we always believe we are rounding is just a circle

I still can't see how Souffs are an 'attractive' club... obviously that bonehead Crowe is the lure.
Won the title once this century (same as us) and have a supporter base filled with sycophants and toothless cretins.

Crowe, Bennett and they are the ‘pride of the league’ mate. Don’t you remember the statement from some bozo NRL boss a few years ago that if Souths are winning then rugby league wins? No bias there at all, just pure fact.

Unfortunately our standards havent seemed to be very high.

Back to Latrell, if he ends up at Souths, the Tiger boys need to be reminded that he could have been one of us, but he didnt rate us highly enough to come and join. So when we play Souths, we want him smashed into next week.

Just like we smashed Ben Teo, Tedesco, Woods, Moses etc etc....

Hang on....

We don't smash anyone mate. It is not who we are.

I agree....for us, Knights or Titans to grab the comp would revitalize rugby league in a lot of ways. It would be a breath of fresh air for everybody outside of the usual top 4 candidates.....

That was Canberra last year. And wow they were close. Dudded by that one call, but they had other chances and just couldnt come up with the finishing touch.

Lucky Canberra won in week 1 of the finals, for if it was Roosters Storm again in the GF I dont know if I would have watched it.

Sorry i keep going off topic. I hope the LM saga ends soon, so we can start to move past it.

We beat a Roosters team, in a very poor game, as we were fitter and much more up for it. They won the comp...

We certainly did not bash them.

Who led the Melb Cup at the first turn in 2018?

You might think it was a very poor game but I enjoyed every minute of it after years of scorelines that were embarrassing. Our team gave everything that day right to the last minute. You had a crack at them for when they don't perform fair enough but don't undersell when they do.

Tigers also got pipped by 2 in the corresponding Roosters match a few months later, almost snatched it again with last-minute a Corey T try, if he was just a few inches taller.

Tigers hyper competitive against the competition heavyweights in 2018, 3 wins from 4 matches against the two GF sides, but utterly failing to play with any consistency against the middle and lower sides.

No one, I got it wrong. It was a journalist and it was something like if South Sydney are going well, then Rugby League is going well. In all the hoo ha that went on at the time I thought one of the league officials said it after Souths we’re reinstated in the comp.

Who at the NRL said that?

Cheers spud.?
