We have a poor perception with players at the moment, but I feel that the loyalty shown by players who are here at the moment will pay off in the end. The administration should stick to its commitment to be a proud club who only purchase players who genuinely want to be here.

He didnt actually, he said "If I had signed ***straight away*** (jumped in) with the Tigers I probably would have regretted it". Media have turned it into clickbait as some sort of sledge at the Tigers, but he was talking in the context of the amount of time it took to make the decision. he was merely saying if he had jumped in straight away at the first opportunity he would have regretted it.

Media is playing it up and those with the corresponding agenda and running with it.

You’re spot on with your interpretation mate but unfortunately the media take grabs of what’s said and rearrange them to make up a story that sells.

Then in turn fans and the general public bite and all of a sudden there’s a story that didn’t exist in the first place!!

Every coach gets sacked eventually. I will be very happy if Madge loses the dressign room in 5 years time after getting us a premiership.

A guy with that much talent,they don’t actively try to get off their books
I don’t think it harms us at all really
We have that many juniors coming through with a coach that makes players earn their place

The way Wests Tigers are progressing I think Madge may be employing what he picked up from his time at the storm signing a lot of young players showing potential and their futures in front of them with hopefully some established players next year I've said it before MADGE HAS A PLAN

I think this one was a mistake by our recent new chairman. We only look silly because we went call out in the press about how much we wanted him. If we had done a bulldogs or souths and just kept it on the quiet, even deny it, or jump in at the last minute, we wouldn't look so silly.

Once upon a time, not long after a new assistant coach started work at the Storm, another assistant who had been there for a while felt he was a bit on the outer, with the new guy scoring lots of points with the boss. So the old assistant decided to apply for a vacant NRL head coaching job and promptly won a premiership. His mate from the Storm, being a first class opportunist, saw an opportunity and joined the premiership winners, only to immediately start white-anting the head coach. This is where the rumours of the old coach being a hard task master started. The new guy had new ideas and a couple of degrees and could move the club forward with a more modern approach. He charmed the players and gradually turned them against the old coach. The board were also mesmerised and decided the assistant was the future, sacking the coach who had won them a long awaited premiership. A few months into the next season, the opportunist, who by now was beginning to resemble a snake, became aware that another long serving coach at his dream club was on the outer and began concocting a scheme to slither in to replace him, despite him being contracted for another season. The idea of a swap was devised by his management team, however there was a stumbling block. The snake by now was losing the confidence of his own players and the assistant coach, let's call him DF, was by far more popular with the playing group. Rather than a swap for another coach, the players would prefer to keep DF as their head coach. This put the deal in jeopardy so the snake encouraged DF to take a head coaching job in the ESL to remove any obstacles. The players were filthy once the swap became a done deal, not because they were upset about getting a master coach but they realised they had just been used as just a rung in the ladder for the ultra ambitious snake. The news soon made it north and the result is there for all to see.
