Latu Fainu #282

Honestly, with the Tigers luck I can already feel either Galvin or Jerry going down for half a season, so Latu will get plenty of time. Probably should have kept Sezer for when Latu also goes down.

Mindset of a shellshocked tigers fan.
Please don't say things like that knowing our luck they could both go down the grief will set in and then the pain, the pain, nah play every game fighting for the top 8

Look I am hoping the best for both Galvin and Latu, and the other 28 players in the top 30. 2nd year for Galvin - opposition coaches have had the time to watch him / tapes etc. hopefully no 2nd year syndrome for him . Latu , hopefully stays injury free and kicks on .

I dunno I keep Reading about this new depth we have now.... I'll believe it when I see it.... It's depth on paper at this stage... Hope dully it translates to the field and the football played
Depth will be displayed when our reserve grade team is winning games and putting pressure on our 1st team. Our promising youngsters are displaying good improvements and gaining experience.
This will be when we know we have depth in the right areas.
The culture you create throughout the club will mean players know their time will come through their performances and not what is written about them.
Unfortunately, not many young players have patience when they have achieved nothing.

My theory is the plan for Latu is to replace Galvin at 6 in due course, with Galvin to move into the #13.
It's the only way we keep them both long term.
Either that or we utilise Luai to get us back on track for 2-3 years and have Latu and Galvin in the halves.. Which would make sense for the option to leave after 2 years in his contract (although i think that was a safety net for him, which I can completely understand!).

Just over 300 minutes in the NRL for 19yo Latu Fainu so far. Just under 4 full games.

Has 3 tries, 2 try assists, 3 line breaks and 20 tackle breaks. Headaches for Richo and Benji rn
Why would they have headaches? They are all in on Galvin.

latu is quicker , more of a threat, looks good with limited minutes . Can't see Galvin staying at 5/8 when his body fills out. Slow as . Who would win out of a race between galvin and Jackson Hastings? Lol . Royce hunt might be quicker over 20 than Galvin

Very disappointed with a couple of the passes that Galvin tried to pull off today that ended up being costly for us.

Just needs to calm it down a bit.

He’s still a kid and got excitable. We made some dumb plays but we hung tough. That impresses me and I’m sure it will reap dividends down the line.
I think Benjis comment re the ref was quite pertinent. I don’t like whinging about refs but he seemed to give them extra latitude in the ruck, especially slowing down the play the ball, but maybe I’m just a biased old Tiger.
I feel disappointed but not down.
PS, you can now see why JL was more effective at Penrith, the reason I. Yeoh !!!
