OFFICIAL Latu Fainu #282

Well that’s not true. They got passed him but that not my point as he isn’t in the team primarily for defence. He is a strong runner and ball carrier and has good vision to setup outside men. By the 17th minute mark he hadn’t really got into the game in this aspect and that’s what I was commenting on.
It’s amazing how many of you are so one eyed. You don’t watch the game as footy fans…only Wests Tigers fans. It’s impressive and sad at the same time.
So did he have several missed tackles or not ? Because that’s what you said .

I don't think you understand that the person whose opinion you are questioning is the world's leading expert on all matters rugby league, and anyone who disagrees with any of those opinions is automatically a clown, a fool, or should stick to soccer.
I hope this helps to clarify the situation.

SMH: Pec surgery would have impacted Fainu’s pre-season with Wests Tigers, but Woolf said Latu had likely aggravated a previous injury.

“All indications are Latu’s injury is not too bad at all, and it was more a case of him re-aggravating an old injury,” Woolf said. “At this stage he’ll be available for selection this week.
“He’s a very talented player, and I thought the first 10 minutes he showed his class and the value he will have. Tui came on and did a great job, but I thought in the short period Latu was out there, he showed his class.

“He did likewise in that last game [of the NRL season] for the Wests Tigers against Penrith. I’d just like to see him get a fair crack at it without any more interruptions.”

Sorry you’re right.

This is the same coach and staff that sent Eli Katoa out to play with half his head caved in 12 months ago though yeah?

Huge relief that the injury is not as bad as first thought. I felt ill seeing him walk off like that. I've been waiting ages to see Latu and Katoa as a halves pairing. They have the potential to be absolute dynamite.

I think playing with Katoa would be huge for Latu's development, as Katoa is potentially the second best halfback in the NRL in terms of putting other people in the places they need to be. Latu will get to see what true shape looks like, and hopefully when he is playing 5/8 will demand better from his halfback (hopefully not Doobie).

Wait, he got injured in the last round against Penrith too? He only played 40 mins. He really is Elijah Price.
I don’t think he got injured he only played 40 minutes as he lacked match fitness due to not playing, Benji said this at the presser he also mentioned had Latu been fit enough he would have played 80 minutes I think all of us are waiting for him to produce 80 minutes but like all of us every time he goes in for a tackle I feel like his a tow truck waiting for the next breakdown.

Katoa started first grade at 5/8 and Bennett dropped him down to Reggie's a few times then put him back in first grade to not break him before giving him the 7

What a Smart coach
