Lawrence till the end of 2014 ?+ other stuff

Gentlemen, Gentlemen, Gentlemen…................We are all on the same side, West Tigers.

Ron - if you have info, share it with everyone. If there are people who don't believe you, fine, they can take it with a grain of salt. But there are plenty more people who would be interested to hear what you have to say.

Why does it come to this?

Cut the crap… it simple. Back on Lawrence. I'll be removing any posts in this thread on about finch or any other garbage from now on...

Premierships and getting to the big one revolves around one thing KICKS if you ain't got a kicker of high percentage your wasting your time. You only have to look over the years of clubs carrying average footballers on the winger as they kick with huge percentages Gordon is amust unless there is a kicker with the same percentages already at the club..

Just back onto the above point of a Kicker. I was understood at the time of signing that Flanagan was a gun kicker. Take the presure of Marshall and give Flanagan the kicking tee. Hes being playing solid football of late so he deserves his place in the team anyway. I dont think we should chase a player that would be demanding huge $$$ just so we have a kicker when we already have options at the club. We have a quality backline (halfback included when Moltzen returns) we should be focused on keeping it.

I also thought that Flanagan was ment to be a good kicker, but he doesn't play 80 minutes so maybe thats wy he isn't kicking.

This was in todays DT on Gordan:

BOOM Panthers winger Michael Gordon has refused to rule out leaving Penrith after the man known as "Flash" became NSW's latest bolter when he was selected for the Blues.
Off-contract at the end of the year, Gordon remains on the market with the Panthers failing to meet his demands for a new deal.
>
Gordon said he hoped to snare a new Panthers deal and, though hopeful his NSW call-up would help, he was open to offers.
>
"That stuff is for my manager," Gordon said. "But if I was to get offered other deals, I would have to look at them. I am keen to stay here and I think they are keen to keep me, so I hope it is just a matter of waiting for it to happen.
>
"I am hoping it is soon. I didn't want to use Origin to motivate them but hopefully it gets sorted."
>
Gordon said the Panthers' good form had helped him snare a spot on the wing beside teammate Michael Jennings. "It is a shock to be here but I am very stoked," he said.
>
Queensland prop Petero Civoniceva yesterday revealed he had tried to talk Gordon into playing for Queensland.
>
Born in Cooma, Gordon's junior club was the Tweed Coast Raiders and he represented Queensland Residents from the Tweed Seagulls club.
>
"I have been in his ear since I came down to the Panthers [from Brisbane] about where his allegiances lie, and he swore to me that he's been a passionate NSW supporter from day dot," Civoniceva said. "I tried my best but it didn't work."South Sydney are still stunned, however, that Gordon was picked ahead of Nathan Merritt, who has scored 13 tries in 15 games this season compared with Gordon's seven tries from 14 appearances.
>
"We are bitterly disappointed," Rabbitohs boss Shane Richardson said. "I just don't know what Nathan Merritt has to do to make the side."

Sounds like he will still be at Penrith next year

Why??

The thread title clearly states:

Lawrence till the end of 2014 ?**+ other stuff**

IMO if we did sign Gordon, I'd be chuffed as we will finally have our first kicker since Hodgo and I'd love his pace out wide rather than watch backs get run down by forwards. It'd also take a bit more pressure off Marshall and let him concentrate on his ball playing. I'd then move Ayshford into lock because I reckon he's a great runner and another forward with handling skills would be a bonus.

Where is Ron? He seems to be MIA these days…

Ron said he got banned from the forum.

Can a Mod or Admin person confirm or deny this? I can't believe the media have wasted so much time on the election when this scandal has been boiling away.

this is a Danny Weidler special - wait until Sunday's Herald for the shocking details.

I have however heard that ron is on the way back and may be fighting on the Mundine-Waters under-card after attending a guerilla muay thai camp deep in the jungles of Cambodia…. (according to Khoder Nasser)

so is lawrence only contracted with wests tigers until the end of 2011 at the moment???
