Lawrence to 5/8?

Oh no don't tell me Sheenius is back in the house? :roll

Tim Sheens lives in a caravan in the Concord Oval carpark while he waits for his money to come through. He still sneaks into the gym at night and moves the equipment around.

Lawrence at 5/8th is now no chance with Moses clear to play with a early plea, and I can only pray that he was never even considered as a possible replacement if Mitch got suspended. He can not kick to save his life, his passing game is suspect and he is not known for his football brain, but he is a very good ball runner so leave him where he is

Can i ?

Can you what?

It was just a prediction of what may happen should Moses be ruled out. A bit of an overreaction i'd say.

Hope you're having a laugh, mate.

Drinkwater was our best performing half in the trials… He deserves the five-eighth spot... And there's basically no difference in most teams between halfback and five-eighth. Drinkwater for mine.

The track record this club has had over the yrs with team selections, how could i? Anything's possible. I wasn't advocating this move, just putting it out there that it could have been a possibility.

In my book a 5/8 needs to be able to ? step of his left or right foot , be able to jinx , have a kicking game of some sort , be able to run laterally and change angles at the last moment to be effective , have some sort of speed and unfortunately Lawrence does not fit this Criteria .
Not to mention mustn't drop the ball as many times as he does .
Overreaction on how many  i put on my post i agree .
I just don't think Lawrence would be any good there .

Hasn't it been tried by Sheens?

Moses very lucky, he will be playing!. Man it looked like a 3/4 week ban easily. A bit of luck especially if Lawrence was actually considered at 5/8 finally came our way.

I doubt JT would consider such a ridiculous idea. Drinkwater in for Mosses.

Lawrence will be lucky to play centre.

Did Rowdy run over your dog…..every post having a dig at him always.... :unamused:

I recall a conversation between Lawrence and Sheens, back when Tim was trying to turn Lawrence into the next Laurie Daley.

Lawrence threatened to find a new club if Sheens persisted with playing him at 5/8, and told sheens 'I have no passing game, no kicking game, and no organising skills. I'm not a 5/8.'

Thus ended the experiment.

I remember a game vs Storm in 2012 at Leichhardt where Chris put up a midfield bomb and it landed on the grass in the hill. I felt sorry for him coz you could tell even he knew he wasn't a 5/8.

I still have faith in Lawerence returning to form,

There are centres in our game that dont possess blistering speed but are deadly

thinking Hodges, Matt cooper,

Get Defense going and then we will see.

not time to put out to pasture just yet

It makes you wonder where the coach's head was at if a player actually has to point that out to him! Bloody ridiculous really.
