Lawrence v Idris

Gee I don't know - once upon a time Lawrence was pretty bad in D.

Yeah like I said, he'd get found out a bit, but he never rushed out of the line,or made half arsed attempts like Idris does.

he did plenty of times…worse than IDRIS....now he's a Gun...

Rowdy rushes out of the line nearly every game. It has become one of his trademarks. The Great thing about Lawry is, he backs his ability and speed to make the hit 9 out of 10 times and succeeds.
Idris is just too slow to react when a player with sharp footwork changes the pace. Fifita is also a regular victim of this.

Deadset, Lawrence really brings back the copybook footy skills of eras gone by. He would not have looked out of place playing in the 70's and 80's before rockstars took over the game..

He would be considered an "Origin Style" player if he were at the Dragons, Dogs or Manly

Lets just hope he doesn't realise that and not re-sign with the tigers…. :astonished:

What's with the hate on Idris? I don't see how you can't love him

If Idris didn't have dreads he'd be thought of in the same light as players like Joel Reddy or Jerome Ropati.

He's a god awful defender whose "big hits" usually end up with the player gaining another 5-10 metres. His attack is good when all he has to do it run foward, but his agility is lacking and his handling and passing is average at best.

If he was treated how he should be, a potentially good player who needs alot of work, I'd be fine with him. But he gets treated like he's a elite level player.

Maybe if the moronic media used a little discretion and didn't treat these 19-20 year old players like gods, we wouldn't have so many big headed 22-24 year olds thinking they're worth more than they are.

Yeah, that's what I was going to say…
