Lawrence

As mentioned by a previous poster, I thought he killed it when he first returned from the hip last year. Our attack immediately looked better. Then he did his hamstring setting up a matchwinner against the Dragons (I think?). He hasn't been the same since then.

Agree, he was on fire against the Dragons before his hammy went. Since then his pace has never looked the same, although he looks to be a couple of kilos heavier this year too, so whether that has played its part I don't know.

Think it must be fear of pulling a hammie again that is not seeing home stretch out. Same issue has dogged Hodges for the past 2yrs. Chris will sort it out b/c he is classy and professional, mentally tough.

Collis was never anywhere near the player Lawrence is.

I met him one day in a TAB when I was living in Melb. He had taken his girlfriend for a shopping trip when the Tigers had the bye. Got on the squirt with him all afternoon, we both did plenty of the punt.

he is not playing as well as previously, but i think as the year has gone on, he is slowly improving.

i dont think it is related to the hip,he returned very strongly from that last year. I reckon theinterupted off season and hamstring may be holding him back

I've been thinking the same thing. He went on the Roo tour and tore apart Manly and St George at the back end of last year after coming back from the hip injury. I'm not sure what it is that's holding him back, but hopefully he finds his mojo again quickly.

didnt improve today…

really? imo he played his best game of the season today.

still, neeeds to improve a lot to be able to reach the potential we all know he can.

I thought defensivly he had a blinder..attack wise some clean ball might help ,when Siro is back a couple of weeks and settles in lawry will kick on.

Rowdy had his leg ripped from his pelvis. He's a champ and will no doubt come good. I agree wit Ink. Good game today

i watched it live so maybe i missed a few bits and pieces, but i saw him miss a few pretty soft tackles and still wasnt as attacking with the ball as he should be…. i seriously think we need to shift him to the wing where all he has to do is finish, for the interim anyway.

I thought he was good today. Came up with some great defensive shots. The hit on Pearce was a beauty. While he doesn't look as quick as last year (and I'm sure he isn't), he did look to move a bit more freely than last week. We may not see the best of Lawrence this year, but hopefully his best football is still in front of him.

I thought all the backs had their best game as a team so far this year. There have been good individual performances throughout but today collectively they played well.
