Lawrence

When has Rowdy been in a situation in 2014 where you could judge his speed ??

I agree with this. Its still too early to judge Lawrence. He isn't though a player like Nofo who can create something out of half a gap. He shouldn't be taking up too much salary cap.

We do though need some more speed and explosiveness in our outside backs. Teddy gives us heaps and that covers us to a degree but Richards is slow as anything and if he plays every game because he offers a great all round kicking game then we need players like Nofo and Koro out there as well as Tedesco. Lawrence needs to do more.

Unfortunately Lawrence is on 400-450k, at the age of 25 he'll be seeking an upgraded contract at this stage of his career. His career has gone backwards so what offer do we seriously make him.

I just think we can give him some more time. The big money is a problem though because you need to pay your consistent top performers the top money.

He also hasn't had many opportunities however Simona, Nofo and Tedesco make opportunities.

Yep, you create your own opportunities.

Backs are meant to run fast

Rowdy does not anymore, he creates nothing

The situation has become untenable imo

Look can anyone tell me this

Until I see him in a situation where I can make a clear judgement on this I'll make my view known

But remember he hasn't played wing since 2008 if memory serves and had a part time centre along side him today

Given the choice of Lulia over Lawrence I'll take Lawrence still (at this stage )

How long do we have to wait until we judge his speed? If he plays first grade for the next x number of weeks the same argument can be used every week. This is because we will be continually thrashed in the backs. If you really want to judge his speed get him to run a timed 100 metres at training then compare it with the times the other backs run over the same distance. Apart from speed, his tackling and positional play has for quite a time left a lot to be desired.

Widdop had the same injury last year and is playing good footy. It's been 3 years since Rowdy did it

Neverless he has damaged his hamstring without putting the pedal down, that is alarming after a full off season.

Every time Chris got tackled I noticed he struggled to get mobile after the contact. I am worried he played injured. He was totally off his game. His defence no matter where he played was deer in the head lights stuff.

In the past three years he has shown on an occasion what he was capable off, but, is he worth
$450 k ? For mine his benchmarks are Hodges, Jennings, Matai, Morris and he is so far away it is not funny.
However, he still deserves few more chances in NSW cup before we shop him around.

Look something else must have happened since the hip

Remember the Saints game when he makes Soward look the fool when we came from behind

He was flying that night until he tore his hammy

Austin could play centre in a pinch

What do u base that on
_Posted using RoarFEED 2013_

He probably based it on the fact that he played centre on several occasions last year for Windsor Wolves. In rd 1 he played centre V US and cut us to pieces, scoring 3 tries and kicked 8 goal.
As Littletiger said, Austin could play centre in a pinch.
