Lazarus is CURRENTLY the BEST option for number 7 in the ENTIRE joint venture. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deadset kidding themselves..

depending if moltzen stays at fullback that is..
its a toss up between lazerus and taumata for me

OMG…I'd never thought I'd see the day....but you are 100% correct......Will Sheens agree though....?

Balmain Tiger....Taumata is an out and out 5/8th .......

Although it fits my theory that Sheens is building a backline of 5/8th's + Lortay...

crouching tiger you say lazarus is the best option we have.. when he hasnt played 1st grade in 2 years ? & yes he does blitz the NSW cup but there is a big difference between them & 1st grade. + we already know marshall & moltzen play well together (think back to the end of last year) we won 6 games on the trot with moltzen in halfback.

Yeah you're right.. KOK '09
What would i know.. :sunglasses:

See then it's back to transmission normal…..

Why not explain that Lazarus is coming back from 2 knee reco's.....as the reason he hasn't played in 2 years...

Or as a teenager along with Moltzen drove BRET into the semi's in 07...

Was a leading light in the inagural NYC competion before his 1st knee injury..

Was in the mix to replace Hodgson before the second one cruely cut him down....

Don't sell yourself short crouching...you know All...

haha well actually i think Crouching Tiger is right, Lazarus is the best half at our club and could be the answer to our clubs halfback problem since the departure of Prince, so I hope Sheens picks him this week

Best tactical kicking game in the club, played halfback with Moltzen at 5/8 previously because Moltzen is not a halfback and the only real organiser in our grades currently. Defence may be a slightly weaker point but not in the lack of effort or heart and he is a good legs tackler.

Im not saying hes a bad player, im just saying look at the facts.
Moltzen played halfback for 6 games & we won 6, he played last 20 mins or so against roosters & how many points did we score ?
Sure Lazarus may be better but he has been playin NSW Cup for the past 2 years & he always gets injured.
Look at the facts people.

Well, provided he can find it on facebook accounts…

The facts are that we have lacked a true organisational halfback since Prince left and this is one of the major reasons we have missed the finals since his departure (one of many)

Moltz is a great guy to have at half when all is going well and passes are sticking. He is an instinctive hole runner and can pick his moment.

Lazarus on the other hand is the guy who will grind you out of trouble from half by leading a pack of forwards. He has a great football brain and the single best long kicking game in the club for accuracy and placement

What's the point Geo?
It was only last week someone was on here trying to match up Waters over Lazarus…
:sunglasses:

 that's because they where Versing each other…der...

Match up in number only....and didn't it show... 😢

Anyhow we all could be way off...I mean the try assist freak Brown will probably get the call up at Fullback...

LWR...for mine

Sheens seriously rates Moltzen as the best long term fullback at the club. Given that Lazerus has started so well and that Sheens will persist with Moltzen at FB, I think it's near certain that Lazerus will get a call up to the NRL.

I see the logic in Sheens wanting Moltzen at FB. For it to work though Moltzen to to improve in a lot of areas (positional play, getting to kicks cleanly, & kick returns). He's talented & capable enough to address these issues - it's all on him. He could be a sensational FB but he needs to pull his finger out and show the determination and drive to achieve in that position. He looks at times like he has the attitude of a cretaker fullback (just filling in temporarily, waiting to go back to his favoured position). I hope I'm wrong & that's not his attitude.

I'm all for keeping Moltzen at FB and handing the HB role to Lazerus & I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he grabs the opportunity, kicks on and becomes an outstanding first grade no.7.

I havent seen enough of Lazarus (because of injuries) to really have an educated opinion on how he plays but fom what i saw of him V Newtown he deadset looks like he would be strugglin to be 70kg's sopping wet… Does anyone here think he may be too small to have a good dig at first grade??

How many times have I read this recently, amazing how quickly memories become clouded, just to refresh the memories, it was 5 games with Moltz in the number 7, the sixth game Motlzen was fullback and Lui was the half

Rob Borrow weighs about that and goes good guns for England. Geoff Toovey also weighed around 70kg and was lethal for Manly. Steve Martin (Balmain) was also very lite I'm told.
70kg can be a disadvantage but if you're supported by your forwards, it can also an advantage
